OT: Well I guess the UNITY wasn't gonna last too long
When I look at the 3 fore runners I am left empty and if I have to I will go with Mickey Mouse. The only other one left out there is my man and that is Ron Paul, but he has not gotten enough delegates. He is the only one who voted against Iraq each and every vote he also supports home schooling and he is a supporters of Gays in the military. But he has never conceeded to Mccain.

If you can't stand behind our Troops feel free to stand in front of them!
Just wanted to thank everyone (Katt, Darlene, Susan, Cyndi, Chris, Julia, Heidi, Laura, Jenn and the lurkers) for responding. I know this can be a touchy subject, but you guys held your own. I love when we can agree to disagree.
I love the IDEA of Democracy

Religion and Politics are always explosive topics. I am so proud to be an American right now. More so then in the past 8 years. I think that people that will vote for Mc Cain just because Hilary isn't the nominee are really sad. And a little backwards. These are the type of people that will hopefully get lost on the way to the polling place. I just don't understand people. These are people who obviously had no idea why they were voting in the first place. I saw a great bumper sticker the other day. "John McCain.......Bush's 3rd term" All of you that are TRUE Democrats need to come together and make sure that we end the madness that has been in control of this country for the past 8 years. Lets unite as one party. We need to put an end to the Bush era.
God Bless America where we can openly discuss our views on politics openly without the threat of persecution. God bless all the women and men that have given their lives in order for us to have the freedom to do this. Now let's bring our troops home.

Don't mean to be a cog in the wheel and I'm preparing myself for flames, but what ever happened to EXPERIENCE vs. how well spoken someone is or their color or gender?
I'm sorry but in wading through all the eloquent speak that Obama throws out, I have yet to find a principal or stance. All I hear is "Change." OK, that's great, but how?
I'm also pretty disgusted by how the DNC has treated Hillary. If they had wanted her to win, they would have seated all the delegates in a heartbeat.
It makes me sad that this country has come to this... people choosing a leader based not on their experience, their principals and goals for this land, but what they aren't.
I am an Independent so that I can feel free to vote for whomever is the best candidate... not whomever is the right gender or color or has the most favors to call in with whichever party. I'm not hating on anyone. I just don't like any of the choices.
This reminds me of the Southpark episode where the elementary school had an election for School Mascot. Their choices were a Turd Sandwich and a Giant Douche.
