Oh Catt, I say pish posh girl. I am a Hillary supporter and voted for her for a number of reasons primarily her experience, life and political, and the fact that she is female wasn't a major factor. Was it a factor, yes. The first female Commander in Chief would be cool to see. Change can be good. In the same thought process the first black president would be cool to see as well, but in MY little mind these factors cannot be big in my decision to vote for a candidate. I live a life here in America and feel I need to look at who I can believe will help make our (the vast majority of Americans who aren't wealthy and powerful) lives better.  So with that said if those Hillary supporters you cite seriously feel they should vote for McCain because their candidate isn't going to win the Democratic nomination shame on them. That is such a "I'm taking my ball and going home and not play anymore" cause my person didn't win emotional response. I suspect they must have only voted for Hillary because she is female and I can't respect that thought process. Personally I am thrilled to see this primary race over and the first black American on the cusp of becoming the Democratic nominee for President of the United States!  What a historic moment in time and, support him or not, everyone should take a big breath, pause and reflect on the enormity of this event in history. I am blessed to have been alive to experience this turning point in American politics.  Keep the faith Catt. This ol country needs a breath of fresh air, political change and growth. Let's hope the American voters turn out in droves in November to elect the best person for the job. Oh, and by the way... I will be supporting and voting for Mr. Obama.

Well said, Steve! I agree 100% with your post! I was for my girl Hillary too, but now my support will definitely shift over to Obama. I think he will make a fine president.

Hugs Steve, Totally agree with you. I'm ashamed to say, but I only planned to vote in Nov.  I kid you not!  I couldn't choose between the two.  I know I want one of them to be in the white house.  I thought your "I'm taking my ball and going home" with it analogy was

I can't help myself saying this .. . but at least with Obama - he doesn't have to be braced up just to stand up :D  (little humor here)

I will definitely be voting for our Democrat. I was torn between Hillary and Obama from the beginning and went with Hillary partly because I liked the thought of having Bill as First Man. But Obama is a good choice too- and it's meant to be I think. I'm very excited that we've come this far in history to have an African-American President. I'm proud about that. Now if we could ever elect an openly gay President I would be ecstatic! Julia

I used to be a democrat.. until these two candidates.

I will vote republican this year. I can't in any good faith vote for a man who's background is such a mystery.

As cool as it would be to see a female commander in chief (and I beleive it will happen in my lifetime) I DO NOT think that the power hungry Mrs. Clinton is the woman I want representing me.

McCain, as wishy washy and old as he may be, hopefully will pick a very strong running mate, and can instill some confidence back into our leaders.

Whatever the outcome, change will certainly be taking place.

Oh Catt,
There are many of us who are just quiet but happy
No one puts us on the news but we vote.
Have a great day. Enjoy the victory.

Hey girl... at first I was a Clinton supporter and then I saw how power hungry she is. It's a little scarey actually. My entire focus and support changed to Obama a long time ago. Shame on Clinton supporters for sayig they won't support Obama just because "thier girl" isn't the one. Are we in High SChool again? It all comes down to who is the best for this country regardless of race or gender. And Obama is the man. Mccain is just another Bush... now that is just REALLY scarey. I think we all can agree this country needs some change. Love you girl.
