Thank you!! That means a lot to me. I am going to work on it and work on it hard.

What are you running at?

Lu, During the week, I just run in my neighborhood.  But on the weekend (my long run) I either run at Griffith Park or Lake Balboa.  I don't know where you are located, but maybe I can meet you somewhere to run. Kim

What is your pace?

I am in Riverside, about an hour from Griffith Park. How many miles are you up to?

Lu, Before I became anemic, my pace was 15:30.  On a really good day with would be sub 13 mins.  Since the anemia, my pace is 17:40 (approximately).  I am hoping to see an improvement regarding my pace since taking the iron pills everyday. I want to do another 6 mile run again (from Sunday before last).  I did not like that last run. Kim

Heck, we can run together. I can keep a 15 min pace. Or I use to anyway.

I have to start running again and see how far  I can run. I will 2 miles  for durning the week and I will try to 4 or 6 miles on sunday. That will be hard since I work 12 hours on suday.

Sounds good to me. I just went on the LB Marathon website and it stated that if you haven't reached the 4th mile marker by 8:30am, then a shuttle will pick you up and take you to Ocean Blvd.  The police wants to re-open Harbor Scenic Drive.  I don't want to be scooped up by the shuttle.  Also, we have to complete the run by 1:30pm. I think that is for the FULL. I am only doing the 1/2 and I am sure that I can hit 4 miles by 8:30 that  would be an 1.5 of running. I  can do that. How long did it take you last year? For me it like 3.5 hours. I will go and look and let you know for sure. But last year I cramped up at mile 5 and had a hard fight the rest of the way.

Lu, The LB website said that "Runners need to return to the Finish Line by 1:30pm" Based on my stats for the Santa Monica 10K, I finished 1:25:39, so my pace averaged 14:11 per mile, and I walked partially. Thank you for your stats.  Quite impressive. Kim

Yes, but that is the full Marathon. Doing the half I pretty sure that we will be done by 1.30 pm That wont be a problem. Starting at 6:00 Dang that sounds so early. LOL we shouldnt have any worries about the time and  being picked up.
