I am not Dead- Hello OH Family

Hello my OH family. If anyone hasn't noticed I took a long break from the boards. I will be doing some serious reading today to catch up on everything.  I have missed you guys!!! Sorry I have been a stranger and just dissapeared. I hope you all still love me.   Nothing really new except I have a hernia and I was told my intestine is "coiled." The surgeon says a lot of times it will "uncoil" itself out. If it doesn't, then he'll have to go in there and fix me. I found this out from having really bad upper abdomen pain that caused me to hunch over it hurt so bad. I went to the ER and they couldn't find anything wrong with me. All my tests came back normal. THey said it was probably GAS  but to make sure I follow up with Dr. Vierra (my new surgeon since I moved). Anyway, I went to see him yesterday and he looked at my CT and found it right away. I am just supposed to watch it and monitor it. If it gets worse or more frequent I have to let him know so he can fix me. I am just thinking positive and hope it will fix itself.  Other then that life is good. I went on my first real trip since my surgery to Las Vegas with my best friend. It was wild and crazy. You know what they say- what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. LOL The seatbelt fit perfectly on the plane and for once I felt "light."  I have lost a total of 108 pounds and comfortable with that. I am walking with weights everyday on my lunch break. We walk everyday for 30 minutes. My co-worker and I have been doing this for 2 months now and absolutley love it. If it rains we do the stairs at work. I have no excuse not to get moving now since I can fit exercise in during the day. I am still loosing hair but I figure it will grow back someday. I try to keep a positive attitude in everything I do and it really helps. Deanna from our OH family moved here and we are going to hang out tomorrow. We work at the same hospital! We are going to hit up the second hand stores (to find work suits and jackets) and then go see Sex in THe City. I already have our tickets. Hopefully she won't think i am too crazy or my friends are too wild.   Well love to everyone and again I apologize for being a stranger around here. I am back and love everyone. ~Jaime

(((((Jaime))))) Sorry about the hernia hunni. That sux, and I speak from experience. I had a hiatal hernia repaired in 1985. It was horrible. I have missed seeing you on the boards. Hi Jaime-I had been being a stranger too, life just got me real down but I am coming back too.  Sorry to hear about the intestine problem but you will absolutely love Dr. Vierra, he is such a great guy and he will take good care of you.  The hair loss will stop soon, mine is thin now but at least I had a lot to start with so that is the good thing.  Sound like you had a wild time in Vegas, and yes it does stay there LOL.  Me, besides life feeling complicated I just have been working a lot, just had audits and now we are getting ready to close out the year.  Of course I also have to balance each month, and it never ends.  Like you I have also adjusted my excersie routine, do the treadmill in the morning for 40-45 min (today is my break, 6 days straight is enough) and also my son fixed my bike so I am doing that.  So far I have lost 112.  Take care of yourself, glad to hear that you are not "Dead" just temporarily missing in action,  Sharon

Welcome back Jaime! Hey, I have the same issue with abdominal pain.  Unfortunatley, by the time I go to ER and have a CT scan, they can't catch the coil.....My surgeon says it may be a very small one. But believe me, I do feel your pain because when that pain comes, IT HURTS LIKE #*#&(^@#$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry you have to deal with the same issue like me.  My pain usually comes when I eat a little too much or some sort of food which I can't pin point.  As soon as I hear that rumbling noise in my intestine, I'm like....here we go! Good luck with you and I'm glad I'm not alone on this one.
