Dr. Kent tummy tuck question.....

Hi everyone, I did post this on the PS board and main board, but realized that I would be better off posting here where people used Dr. kent.....instead of asking it as a general question. I "think" Dr. Kent said I would be under for 7.5-8 hours.....with the tummy tuck and neck lipo. Again, I just think....because I got so much information from him that day that I could have totally blurred it up. I do remember him saying that he would do the arm lift seperately, in July, because he doesn't like to have his patients under for more than 8 hours.  That said, how long did your tummy tuck last? I think I may have heard wrong.....or remembered what he said wrong...... Thanks!! :-)

Hi!  My 'fleur de lis' was under 2 hours. I had surgery at 7:30 and was out of recovery by 10AM.   I think you may have misunderstood the time unless you are having a breast lift, also???? JudyAnne

Nope....just lipo on the neck and the TT....I must have totally misunderstood! LOL! I am so so dumb! :-)

I just told DH that I think I misunderstood and he is sure that is was 7.5 - 8 hours....hmmm? Weird....but oh well, we will see when I have my preop. I do remember him saying he wouldnt do the arm lift because it would take me over 8 hours....but again, who knows. How many lbs did he remove with the TT? How many drains? Thanks!

Two nasty drains and four pounds.

I am dreading the drains.....but anything to get rid of the tummy. He estimated 7-10 lbs of skin removed.....of course, only an estimate. I assume I will gain right after from swelling and all..... Did you have it at the LA Veta Surgical Center? Was it nice? Thanks!

Yes, I had the surgery at La Vetra Surgical Center.  It was very small, but I loved the nurses and surgical team.  I was picked up by a retired nurse and taken to her home for the night.  I think Dr. Kent uses someone else now.   Just don't expect to lose more weight after the TT.   It seems that for most of us the body adjusted.
