Memorial day

Today is Memorial Day. Beyond a three day holiday and a great weekend for sales it means alot. It is a day to say thanks to those who gave of themselves and passed in service to our country. It is a day to stop and realize that all these great freedoms we have and take for granted today are because someone gave all. It is a day to remember that families today will be without their loved ones at the  table tonight. Two years ago I would get up on Memorial day and race to the mall. I would BBQ with the family and be happy to have an extra day to hang out. Today I am aware of a different side of Memorial day. Today I mourn the loss of my brother Sgt.Baroncini of the 82nd Airborne KIA in Iraq October 25, 2006. Today I go about my day giving praise to our service people who gave their lives and to the families that carry on. I have learned that Memorial day has a purpose. Please remember to remember.~Anici

Thanks for the reminder Anici.  Memorial day is a day to remember the sacrifices of our service men and women and their families. My heart goes out to all that have lost a loved one or a close friend. (Thinking of you and Jenn A.) and an extra special thought to those that have a loved one deployed now (Vicki).  I have to admit, I am greatful my grandfather survived WWII and I do appreciate ALL our service folks AND their families sacrifice and do for our country. Take care on this memorial day. Sue
