Under 200! Hello "One"derland!
Julia! I miss you! LOL, you are right, it was not that long ago that I was stressed out that I was not losing enough weight! It just seemed like everyone was losing so much faster than me! If I'd lost 17 pounds, everyone else had lost 23! I don't even compare anymore! (Except to MaryLouise, who is always just a little bit skinnier than me! LOL!)
And thank you for saying I don't look 50! With these gray roots and increasingly prominent wrinkles on my smaller face, I'm feeling a little insecure these days!
I was thinking about you because Kathy Griffin's show starts soon! I will be looking for you! If they show you and I miss it, make sure to let me know!

OMG DeAnna!!!!!! One-derland! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That's fantastic.
I am doing a dance with the scale trying to get there. I've been at 202-200 for 3 weeks now! I joined a gym and have been working out much more than ever...that hasn't helped. I know it will but I can't believe my stall. I have lost inches though. I'm wearing a 12! (yikes. a 12) On Tuesday I plan on journaling again and really watching water too.
I am so proud of you. You look fab in the picture! Your new avatar is great too.
Keep it up Girl! hugs, Lisa
Thanks Janine! It has been a lot of work! But I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Hey, secret pals ends in just a few days, did you ever hear from yours? You are going to reveal names, right? I think it's only fair! The good ones deserve the recognition, and as for the others, well, a little shame can be an excellent teaching tool! LOL! Thanks so much for all you did to coordinate it, I know it's been a lot of work!

Hey April! It's wonderful to hear from you! I miss you all so much! Things are going well in Monterey, it still amazes me how beautiful it all is! I like my job, I'm still getting used to it. I just miss everyone in Modesto so much!
So how are YOU doing?? Any post op problems? Are you back at work now, or not yet?
I think I saw your Starbucks post one day, but I think I might have just been doing a quick check in, and I'm not sure that I responded to it. Now that I'm post-op, I drink so much more coffee than I used to! Cross-addiction! But not THAT much, promise! Anyway, I was drinking the skinny lattes like everyone else was talking about, but they got too expensive! So this is what I've been doing for a few months now: about 14 oz fat free milk, a tablespoon of instant coffee (actually probably more, b/c I just use these big spoons I have), a tablespoon of Splenda, and a splash of the Torani SF coffee syrup (chocolate, of course!). Just as yummy as Starbucks, and way more economical!
I miss you guys! Would you be up for a Monterey get-together? It would be fun!

I'm doing ok. Physically I feel pretty good. Emotionally, not so much. Not due to the surgery, but spousal issues. It really puts a damper on everything else, you know? Anyway, I'm just trying to make sure to eat all my food (which I'm not ALWAYS that great at), drink enough H20 (same), and get in all my protein (same). The vitamins I have been good at, so that is a plus. Thanks for the drink suggestion. It sounds good. I bought some of the Nectar Cappucino and YUMMO! It's actually really good. We miss you too!!! And yes, I'm always down for a Monterey get together. I'm off until 6/11, so I can come anytime between now and then! Anyway, I hope you are doing well. I miss you and can't wait to see you again!
