Under 200! Hello "One"derland!

Wow!  I have dreamt of this for YEARS!  I can't believe I have finally made it!  I don't ever remember being under 200 pounds.  I know I was in the 200's in high school, and I'm sure I was in jr. high, too.   I'm wearing a size 14 in most things, a 12 in some others!  I remember buying 30/32 not that long ago!  It's so unbelievable to be able to buy "normal" clothes, and not have to go to the "plus" section, or a special store altogether!  I keep feeling like I am going to wake up and this will all be a dream!   This is so great, it even offsets the little "incident" I had at the bank today!  I went to open up a new checking account, and the guy helping me, who was probably the same age as me, was trying to help me decide what type of account would be best.  He asked how old I was, and I said I was 35.  He said there were some accounts that were age based, but I didn't qualify.  As I was looking at the type of accounts, the only age related one was the "50+" account.  So, he thought that I was possibly 50+?  Thanks, buddy.  Hmph!  But I don't care, because I live in "One"derland now, and things are great here! Here's a picture of me at my new job, wearing that blazer!  (Part of the dress code, much stricter than my old job!) DeAnnainOnderland523.jpg picture by deannayng

Girl, YOU look great!  I love the new avatar!  Look how skinny your little face is!  OMG!  You and the kids need to make plans to come to Monterey and visit me!  We would have so much fun! Yeah, MAYBE that's what the guy meant!  LOL!  Once I went out to lunch with some co-workers, and we noticed that one of the meals had a senior citizen discount applied to it, and it ended up being mine!  And when my Dad was alive, we used to go to Hometown Buffet all the time, and once we were asked "two seniors?"  I tried to tell myself that these are just funny little coincidences, but come on!  I'm definitely dying these gray roots tonight!

Hey Carla!  It's good to hear from you!  Life has been good here!  The job is going well, and it's really fun exploring a new "hometown".  It's amazing how much joy I get from little things like realizing "Oh, if you follow this road all the way down, it connects over here!"  And I read the phone book like it's a magazine!  I'll be prepared for when we have a get together in Monterey and you guys all drive over!  Right?!

Oh DeAnna that is so awesome....I can't wait till I get to onederland (only 15 lbs away).  Congrats and keep up the great work.  And to that guy in the bank - go back in there and give him a pair of glasses....no way do you look 50 - oh please....but was he a young kid?  Sometimes they just don't have any judgement and anyone older than them is a sr citizen..lol Keep up the great work....

Hey Jean!  You will be in onederland in no time!  And thanks for the reassurance about that guy in the bank, you are probably right!  He probably was only in his 20's, he'd probably be offended that I said he was about the same age as me!  At my old job a little boy said to me one day, "There was this old lady...no offense."  He was just kidding, but I still wanted to wring his little neck!  Youngsters!
