Hi Darlene, I lived in Eureka/Humboldt County for years before I made my "Great Escape". I am so happy to hear that there is a local Dr. performing WLS! I know many people who had to leave the area for surgery as they still have to do for any major surgery. Good luck to you on your weight loss journey and I hope you will find a local support group. I remember some time ago a post about meetings at St. Joe, but not sure if that is still the case. Susan
