I know I haven't posted much, in fact it was mostly questions. But I got my approval almost 2 months ago and got scheduled 2 weeks ago. So Monday June 2nd @ 1:00pm at Mercy San Juan. Dr. Laura Machado will be performing the op. I am having RnY. I met with her first almost 19 months ago, and wanted her to do the surgery. But due to Aetna being confused over her in/out network status, I had to go with thier choice. That didn't work out, but he did get me through thier requirements, so when Dr Machado and Julie at the office submitted me, I got approved 1st time thru. Took 5 weeks, but no issues. No I have to order up my liquid proteins so they will be here before I need them. Oh, and just had my shoulder rebuilt 3 weeks ago as well. Detached tendon, plus tears and a bone spur. Still sore but I can function, so under the knofe again! Scott

That is so exciting!  Did you have that "Wow, this is really going to happen!" moment?  I know I did!  I am so happy for you!  Sounds like you went through a lot to get approved, good job of hanging in there and sticking it out!  I'm sure everything will go great!

Well got home Wed afternoon. Very beat up feeling after the initial feelign great for a couple of hours after leaving the hospital. I can tell you that I can not even gag down a single flavor of Isopure. Strictly CostCo protien powder in skim milk. And then only vanilla. The hospital staff as well as Dr. Machado and Sande were excellent. I can not recommend them enough. OK, back to rest. Scott
