Medi-cal being helpful?

My husband's grandmother said she heard something on the news about Medi-cal encouraging people to go for the surgery.  She couldn't remember what was said and I didn't see it.  Did any of you hear this?  I have HealthNet through Medi-cal, so I'm kinda interested! 

You know, I haven't heard anything about this, but it makes sense.........Medi Cal is saving money, because they are not paying for all the medications I was on, nor as may doctor visits.  Doesn't surprise me a bit. Annabelle
