Thought there would be a morning post by now and Ill for sure do not want to step on your toes!

It is one more day until the long weekend and YAY YAY YAY!!! The temps have come down significantly here in the desert and now they are talking about possible showers tomorrow??? Oh lordy!! The wind is still very high out here too!

Okay have any of you ever taken a predisone pack? Well it is a 7 day does of predisone as I apprently have been bit by something. My upper left arm is very inflamed over a very large area and yesterday afternoon I leaned on my arm for some reason and thought I was bruised. Well by the hour the redness spread and it was super hot. Jeff took me to urgent care and they are not sure of what I was biten by, but they put me on the predisone and antibiotics just to be safe. This morning it has spread into my scar area which has increased the pain   I am also scared that predisone and what I have heard makes you gain weight.....thank gawd it is only for a week I have to take it!

Anywho on a great note, I get the newsletter from our feeder highschool, and it was a pleasure to read that 2 of my the grade students who I taught the 1st year I came to the desert are college bound. I am not surprised, but what a milestone eh?

I am too icky to do a shout out this morning, but know that I care about all of you and Weigh 2 Go all you LOSERS....everyone is doing so fantastic!!

Morning Janine - and I sure hope you are feeling better soon!  I had spider bites on my ankle about a month ago, but only had to do antibiotics - hang in there . . . the meds should be helping soon! Chris

Good Morning Janine and Cali, Ouchie, I certainly hope you feel better soon.  I am one pooped mom this morning.  I need to get my lil one to sleep on her own.  But thank goodness we are coming to the end of our week.   Isn't is wonderful when we can brag on our students.  One of mine that was destined to fail at the beginning of this year got 4 a's on this last report card.  I'm so proud of him. Good morning Janine and Cali! Only one more day to a long weekend - woo hoo! Sorry to hear you are having to deal with this. One of my co-workers just came of Prednisone. It typically makes you retain water and get puffy. Her face was pretty "swollen" for several days even after stopping the med. Yes, be glad it is only for a week. Lot's on the "should" do list and we will see what we end up getting done. Seeing the new Indiana Jones film is a "must" do and I am going to buy tickets this morning for Monday before I shut down the computer. Some gardening (big surprise there, huh? Memorial Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 77.    Man, what a change from the triple digit heat last weekend! Hay J... I took the Prednisone last summer to treat the hives I had. I believe I did not see any weight gain, and I took it for a month, but I also think it bothered my pouch. The docs weren't sure so it could have just been a coincidence too. Good luck with that and I know it will help your condition so just hang in there. If you gain anything at all it will be a temp thing anyway! Wishing you and all the Cali Crew a Terrific Thursday! Aww honey!  Sorry to hear about your arm and the bite (or whatever it is!)  That stinks!  I hope that it clears up and the pain decreases for you.  Have you tried doing icepacks to the area?  Just a thought.

I am SO happy!  Finished my research paper and final and I am DONE with my online classes for the summer.  teee heee....shhh, dont tell anyone, but I had some "help" from my nephew with my math final.  Gotta love online classes!  I am looking forward to the break.  I know that it doesn't seem like much to take classes online, but after such a long time away from school- I have no been back for a year and I think it is okay for me to miss a semester.  I just need to make sure that it doesnt end up being two, three, four....etc.  I have until 2010 to use up my GI Bill. OOOOooooOOO- I also found a GREAT deal on a 5 day cruise that I am going to book for just Mike and I for December~ I gotta take care of that today! Anyway, WHAT is up with this crazy ass weather?!?!?  It has been so stinkin' windy here for the last 3 days, it is crazy!!  The kids couldnt go out for recess yesterday because of it.  And it is has cooled off considerably too.  I actually have jeans on this morning.  Stupid! Okay, need a refill on the java.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
