TROUBLE WITH POTASSIUM POLLS HELP!

Has anyone had trouble with potassium pills. Ever since I took my first one this morning, I have been having indegestion like pain

, lots of burping

and have thrown up

everything I take in (fluids and food) This is my first time taking these and I don't know what to think, other than I can't take them and continue like this. Thanks, Lisa

did your doctor prescribe these for you? ask if you can take the liquid instead and something to buffer your tummy.

Darlene, Yes they are prescribed by my doctor, I will ask about the liquid when he calls me back. But the good news for now is that I am able to keep fluids and popsicles down. But what I really want is food, I am soooooooo hungry!

Oh I know, I went through so much to get here, I won't turn back. But gosh there are a LOT of food ads on TY today. I just want to feel full. But I am sticking to liquids for the time being. I am on soft foods stage, but right now nothing is staying with me (if you get my drift) so I should have some good weight loss her in the next day or so! LOL Thanks again for everything! Lisa

I used the upcal D powder in the beginning it was easier to get down, now I am able to do the pills. I was able to buy mine on amazon.com! I live near your if you want me to meet up and I can give you some samples or PM me and I could drop some in the mail to you

Terri, I will have to ask my doctor about that. Anything is better than what I have gone through today. I am sooooo hungry right now I could scream! But I am able to keep fluids and popsicles down now so it helps. If my doc says ok on the powder I will get in touch with you so that I can find out how to get some! Hi Lisa, I just started my potassium pills like 2 weeks ago and I noticed that I was retaining water my rings got tight, so I looked on Abbots webpage and these pills cause GI bleeds so I am going to try and get my potassium in with foods. I don't want a pill that will make me sick! My pharmacist said to take it with food. Good luck to you! Hugs, Lisa
