OT: Urgent Need

I have an urgent need for help and I've asked everywhere else so I'm trying here. I am being forced to get rid of my 2 cats that I've had for over 6 years by my Landlord. They are good, loving, indoor/outdoor cats that do not spray or claw things. They are good with kids. It's killing me that I have to get rid of them. My landlord gave me a 3 day notice and today's the day. My lease is up the end of December and I would want them back if someone could take them temporarily. Or does anyone know of a local resource for me? Thank you!

I am sorry you have to find a place for your cats.  If you’re on a lease and you have had your cats for 6 years how can he make you get ride of them.  3 days….come on, is he crazy??   Does it say in your lease no pets?  If I wasn’t allergic to the hair I would take them for you.   Sorry!!

It's a new lease, I didn't tell him I had 2 cats when I moved in.  I just got divorced and sold my house and moved my kids. I was trying to minimize the loss in their lives..

 I totally would if we weren't already at our quota for animals on base.   I hope someone can help you out!!!! I am going to ask my sister- she volunteers with the San Diego Humane society and maybe she can come up with an alternative for you. love you!

There is a remote possibility that Jim will agree to this (since its you :-) ) But he's not a big cat person. There are issues if it goes through. 1) he's in a meeting, and I'm leading our wednesday night program tonight, so I won't be able to talk to him to tomorrow. 2) We are going on vacation and would need to board them for two weeks (we'd need you to pay for that). 3) We have a cat, and they might not get along. 4) they have to be indoor cats. Oh Stacie I so wish I could help you out but I have 3 cats now (I am supposed to only have 1) and I couldn't take on any more - I so wish I could help you out....I will keep my ears open and hopefully someone will be able to help you out.
