Good Tuesday Morning Cal

Good Tuesday Morning to all of you gang....wow....was yesterday HOT or what? We not only broke the old record according to the weather person....we smashed it! My jeep read a whopping 114 degrees at its high yesterday in various places as I drove....but settled on 110 at my house. I came home after dropping Hunter off and went swimming...felt good!

Today brings a busy day as usual and then Honors Deserts tonight at one of the country clubs for our top students who have earned a 3.2 or higher GPA for their 3 years at IMS. It is an awesome dressy evening for them. I am one of the presenters tonight....scared because there is 49 students with their families and the room is huge! I actually wound up writing my speech. I am glad one of my art students is getting the Fine Art award because usually I have to conceed to the band. I lobbied hard for this girl....she is not only an amazing artist.....she is just a truely amazing girl who has a spirt that we could all learn from!

Alrighty then.....

Lynnie....I sure hope that your students did well on their powerpoint presentations....I am sure they did as they have a GREAT teacher who guided them through!

Sue I hope today finds you less tired and Missy Sammi being a good girl....remember she is an angel and give her a big smooch and hug for me!

Jodi gf....I am praying and praying for all of you....you and your family surely has received their share of knocks and it is just plain not FAIR!! I hope that you post soon with some positive turns....remember we care and love you!

Monica P....OMG you look so friggin awesome and those photo's you posted are like HELLO...I am half the girl I use to be....you just keep getting prettier by the day! Your dedication is remarkable!

And lets hear for the one and only Jordyn....OMG Monica....I just want to smooch her all up. I bet your mom is all over her with tons of smooches....she is just so pretty Monica and I could not be happier for you!!!

Liz....wow did you have a good birthday or what? I know I want to see Wicked, but never have gotten the chance. You know Steve calls me Elphie LOL! Did you ever think you would be a lean mean riding machine at 50? I am so proud of you!

Vicki you sure did need a day of Vicki time...it is so hard being a single parent and we tend to put ourselves on the back burner....good on you!!! Also I think it is great you got some time to speak with Mike...soon he will be back again!!

Kim aka Puddin...you go girl with all the exercise you are going to be like the other Kim aka MadameB....she is an exercising fool for sure, but looks fantastic! There is a lot to be said about exercise....maybe that is why you always have that great smile!

Shells I wish you had made it to the meeting...it would have been nice to meet you....maybe next month eh?

Sue did you get your records from your doctor? You are going to get all your ducks in order before they do!! You have to stay on top of things to get yourself to that surgery date....don't want to slip through the cracks!

Steve...a lot of us are in agreement....Jason is a HOTTIE and we know where he gets his handsome good looks!

Kim..shocking about the person from your work. What happened? So young! And so sad....prayers go out to the family.

JenDenni....did you get a hold of your doctor? I sure hope so because I would think that the pain would slow down by now.Let us know that is going on for sure!

Lisa...it has been a while since you have posted....I hope all is well with you. How is the wl going. When I met you in LB you were doing super fantastic. I hope things are full speed ahead!

Katt CONGRATS on taking your finals and getting that over with....can't wait to see you post that you passed.....that will be a big relief I am sure!

And what about Cheryl who moved to WA...she is preggo's how exciting is that? Another new little one to add to the brood! Congrats to her!

Janine I just love your morning posts and all your shout outs - keeps us all informed and updated on whats happenin.  I don't know how you handle that heat out there - don't think I could do it....I mean I handle the heat better now than I did a year ago, but I still don't like it when its really hot....I wasn't able to go swimming yesterday as our pool was closed for routine maintenance...oh well, there is always today. Not alot happening with me - just working my tool and staying away from that horrible carb monster (as best I can). Nothing on my agenda for today other than making a craft project that I learned at my workshop/class on Sunday.  If it turns out I will take a picture and post it.... Jodi - I am praying for you and your family - just remember we are all here for you. Diane - hope you are doing well and not working to hard Steve - Ditto on the hottie nephew - woo hoo To all the rest of the cali crew - lots of hugs and stay cool and hydrated. Time for coffee and the paper.....

Good Tuesday Morning to all y'all..... it's supposed to start cooling off today and that sounds GOOD to me! On the other hand I hear you folks in the upper and lower deserts have wind advisories starting this afternoon. Wind gusts of 50 + 65 MPH.... load your pockets up with some boulders this morning kids! Nothing much happening here today, just sipping my coffee and a looking at a day of work ahead. My students did a brilliant job! They surpassed all my hopes. I tell you I had kids at the beginning of the year tell me I will NEVER do an oral presentation and to date they have done a book report a month, and two current events a trimester and now this in front of other classes and their family. A few I thought would be 'sick' and they were there and did a fantastic job. I am oh so proud of them! I told them each of these steps is a step toward their future and take that strength of meeting your goal and completing a job to junior high, high school, college, their professional career, and life in general. They are AWESOME! Oh and their power points blew me away as well....very creative and original! As well as, ACADEMIC! my job here is done!

Good Morning Janine and Cali, I gotta say it is getting harder and harder after every weekend to leave her.  All the cooing and smile and giggles just melt me.  I don't know about grandmother but mom is smooching those cheeks all the time.  She was a very fidgety thing on mom last night so even though we went to bed early I over slept.  thank goodness my mom went to sleep early too and came in and woke me up.  Okay gotta run but will take a minute to keep practicing my pic adding skills. Good morning!  I'm in slow motion this morning.  We just had 5 days in Yosemite and Bass Lake.  We had a great weekend, but it's hard to get back with the program!  Here's a picture of Ellie in Yosemite.
