Hey, Monica... I'm so happy to hear that you are nearing 100 pounds lost... can't wait to see you soon.
Like most people said, your body will know when it's time to stop, I think.
Dave and I are going to prom soon...fun, huh? I bought a size 8 dress today... who woulda ever thought? I asked for help and the salesgal said, 'oh honey, your wandering into the plus sizes by mistake".....LOVE IT!
xoxo

Hi Monica,
This is a million dollar question that I have been trying
to get an answer for now since before I had WLS in
March 2004. Dr. LePort would never give me a goal
weight and my Primary Care Physician gave me a
round about number of 164 (which she got from some
chart that she had in her office.
So because no one would give me a goal weight I set
my own! I decided that once I got to 150 pounds I would
take a look at where I was then. I started this journey at
335 wearing size 30 jeans 3XL tops and as of today I
am wearing size 12's and M/L tops and weigh anywhere
between 180-185. I am 5'8 so I figure that I can carry 150
and be happy.
The hardest thing about this entire journey is waiting for
your head to catch up with your body! I still find myself
looking at plus sizes and XL clothing and then I rremember
oh yea! I'm not there anymore.
Don't compare yourself to anyone, we all loose weight in
different ways. I have a friend that is the same height as
I am and she had gotten down as low as 128 and looked
great and she is currently at 145 and looks great also, so
it's all a matter of how you feel. Also don't focus on size
nothing will dissapoint you more than that, just focus on
how good you feel and look.
