Does your hair always come back?

My hair was thin before and when it started thinning you can see my scalp on top. I always heard it would come back but then my Dr. said, hopefully it will come back that was after seeing my hair lose.

So please if there are people out there who hasn't got their hair back let me know so I can plan on doing wigs for along time.

Hi Carole, My hair was thick as all get out when I had surgery....i had to use one of those big hair rubberbands to put it into a pony tail.....  I lost quite a bit of hair and now can use one of those little hairbands.  I added some Biotin (5000mcg) about a year ago and have noticed that my hair is thicker now...I still use the "little" pony tail holders, but~ my hair has gotten to the point that I can now probably switch back  to the big rubber bands.  Make sense? I wish you luck, our hair is such a big deal to us.....but, there are wigs out there that people wouldnt even be able to tell that it is a wig! Best of luck to you!

Thanks Vicki, I think I'll go get some Biotin today, hear alot of people talking about it on line.

I do wear wigs now infact the two that one of the girls on line said she liked from Paula Young collection. I tried several but those two looked the most natural.

Thanks again for posting.

I had very thick hair preop and lost so much that I was actually seeing a receeding hairline. It did grow back to its original thickness (on its own...I never used special hair products). The catch is it came back totally curly and darker. I used to have cute, shirley temple curls as a baby and their back...only on a 40 something year old...not so cute.  Oh well, its just hair (or so I keep convincing myself!) It'll grow back, till then, it might be fun to see how you look in hats and extensions are always an option. Keep your chin up, Rachel

I probably lost 1/3 of my hair.  All of it on my head returned in great shape.  However, the hair under my arms is virtuallly non-existant and that on my legs only gets shaved once every two months!!!   Hooot hoooot!!! JudyAnne

Dont worry.  I will grow back.  I lost only about 1/3 of my hair, but it did come back much nicer than every before.  Healthier and thicker............and strangest of all, CURLY!!!  I love the curls! I just added biotin 5000mcg to my regimen only because my hair got severely damaged by a styling product just last week.  So, I  dyed my hair back to dark brown (I think that is my natural color...LOL) and I am waiting it out.  I hear this biotin stuff is amazing.  My hair grows pretty fast anyway, so add the biotin and hopefully it will not take too long to grow out and replace itself.  I also cut off all my nails very short so I can really see how well the biotin is working.   Hugs to you...........don't worry.  It will grow back healthier and better than ever!
