Can anyone tell me when it is ok to eat protein bars

I had my surgery on March 26th.  I am 1/2 way through my first week of phase V, 2 oz's of protein at Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.  So I was wondering if I can substitute my protein drink for a protein bar.

Thank you, Michele

Every surgeon's protocol is different so you really should check with your surgeon or nut.  I think I was about 3 or 4 months out before I had a protein bar.    sorry I couldn't be of more help!  hugs, Becky

Surgery was RNY 5/21/07...I can be found on Facebook: anewbecboo or Becky Reddick

Like Becky said, I would check with your surgeon first before you did it. I had a very hard time eating them early out.

Hey Michele - I know everyone told you to check with your Dr already, but I sure hope that darn protein bar I gave you isn't driving you nuts! Sorry if it is! I was OK'd at 1 month post-op for protein bars, but that when I was told to stop all protein drinks too. Every Dr is different, so like e1 else said , check with yours.

Missed you on Friday night. ;)
