I LOVE my PCP!!!

I went in to see my PCP to break the news to her that I was thinking about bariatric surgery and she was AWESOME.  Totally supportive, spent nearly 30 minutes with me, told me that she has had several patients do it and she would be there every step for pre and follow up care.  She even did a quick EKG saying that I would need it later for my records.  I was so nervous that she would not support me or at least need some convincing....   Phew  Now the surgical consult at the end of the month and I am on my way!

that's awesome elizabeth. the first time i mentioned it to my pcp (who was recommended to me by a colleague) he told me no way, that if i were "his daughter" he'd never allow it, and the jerk tried to sell me a bunch of vitamins and medifast. i did not see him again. my current pcp who i've had now for 2 years is a dream. she really "gets it" and i'm so glad that you had a positive outcome with yours :) best of luck to you!

That is so exciting and your PCP seems great. She argued gave you your EKG that's great. My PCP is sending my referral in this week.  I am so excited.
