New Member/ Kaiser Insurance Question

Hi! I have Kaiser Insurance and had a question hopefull someone could answer. I had given serious thought to Bariatric surgery a few years ago and began the process of approval. I had the Psych eval, nutrition eval. etc. Well, I decided to give weigh****chers one more try and was successful for a short time. Here I am 4 years later even heavier and want Bariatric surgery. Do I have to start the entire process over? If anyone has any answers or suggetions please let me know.

Hi sweetie! I would imagine that you have to start all over again. Kaiser for the most part makes you do a health appraisal and take a 6 month class. I know it sounds horrible and like it will take forever, but I really feel it is necessary!!! It may seem like forever, but I swear it goes by really fast!!! I believe you need to start with your PCP and have him/her do a referral for WLS. Do you have comorbids along with the weight?  May God bless your journey! And good luck to you too!! hugs, Becky
