Surgery date....Finally!!

Folks, I got my surgery date today after a loooong wait. I go in June 24th with Dr Eric Hahn at Kaiser Fremont. My question is, is there anything special I should be doing to prepare for the surgery? (other than maintaining my good eating habits and exercizing like crazy) I am not nervous yet, but surely I will be a little the closer the date gets. Any helpful suggestions and tips would be appreciated. Thanks

WOW, June 24^th, what a wonderful day… that is only because it is my Birthday.  I will keep you in my Prayers.   The only suggestions I would give is....my doctor had me go on a liquid diet the week before my surgery and that helped me a lot. Michele

Kaiser really puts you through the ringer for this surgery. I have co-morbidity's so it was a little easier on me but I still think it has taken for ever. What can you tell me about Kaiser Fremont Hospital, what should I take with me, books, magazines, laptop etc...How quickly were you up and around? As you can see by my handle, I am a golfing fool. I would like to get back out there as soon as possible! Thanks for the good thoughts! I am anxious to get over to the other side.
