I am in search of the best deal in town. Where is the best (cheapest) place to shop for transitional clothing? I know I won't be a 16 for more than 6-8 weeks but I've ran out of clothes. I 've checked out Ross but in some cases they cost more than walmart for the same quality. What's your favorite store???

I personally like Ross, especially for t-shirts & tops because sometimes they can be so cheap.  You'll fit in clothes at Old Navy now, and their clearance items are really cheap sometimes.

Also, don't underestimate thrift/vintage shops. If you're willing to do the digging and searching you can find some pretty cool items.

I agree with Monica on the thrift stores, BUT my favorite store is Steve and Barey's (sp?) There is one at The Block in Orange, but you can go to their website and search for a location near you.  Everything in the store in $8.98. They have everything (shorts, jeans, t-shirts, dress cloths, shoes, under garments, coats, sweaters, ect...) and it is all very cute. I love this store. I hope this helps....

I had the best luck with Mervyns clearance. $2, $4 and $6 brand new items. It was the greatest find. Good luck to you. Sue

Friends and family...Yeh I know it sounds weird to ask, but I asked my brother and his sons gave me some pants.  I am wearing one of those pairs now.  A year later and they are still my favorite jeans.  Also as it has been said...Goodwill and Salvation Army.  Brian

There are some "vintage" stores in Pasadena and even here in Claremont, where you can find some really fine clothing for very reasonable prices.  I bought a cashmere vest not too long ago for  under $10.  If you don't mind wearing secondhand stuff and sifting through the junk, you can get great deals on stuff that looks new. There are  Out of the Closet and Aardvark's in Pasadena.  Spiritu in Claremont has some stuff.
