I am looking into Dr. Keshishian to do a revision of Band to DS using my medicare and I wanted to know what people though of him as a Dr and his program for the DS surgery and if they used medicare and how that went as well.  I am hoping to attend one of his seminars in Red Bluff since I live in Oregon, but would appreciate any information you all could give me on here.   Thanks!

you might want to try the DS boards, they seem to have a unique board of their own...

I have not used him, but know his staff and his reputation is without peer. He is unparalleled as a revisionist and does the complete take-down of RNYs, and recontructs from scratch, unlike many so called revisionists who leave the pouch untouched. Not your issue to be sure, but an RNY to DS revision is by far the most complex surgery in bariatrics. I do believe he does take medicare but will still charge an up-front fee. You could be in no better hands and he has an entire wing of that hospital dedicated to his patient base. Rock As a sidebar, I think ANY surgeon doing a band on someone with as high a Pre-Op BMI as you apparently presented with SHOULD be grounds for MALPRACTICE, no matter how insistent you might have been at the time. Thanks for the replies.  I will also post this on the DS board as well. Rock - Thanks for all the information.  I have heard the same things about him and that is one of the major reasons I am looking into him as my surgeon.
