So Nervous!!

Monday Morning I have to check in at the hospital at 5:30am.. surgery is at 7:30am.. was told my surgeon typically takes 2 hours to do the surgery. Then will be in the recovery about an hour.. poor hubs will be waiting for 3 hours untill the doc talks to him.. and 4 till he can see me. I am soo nervous.. I can hardly believe I am actually going to do this!! TUmmy in knotts.. hubs wants to take me out to dinner tonight. Not sure I will be able to eat.. tomorrow I am on clear liquids .. sigh.

Just go out and enjoy a nice dinner. You are making yourself a wreck because it really is not as bad as you think it is going to be. We all went through the same thing, the nerves and all, and we are all here to tell you the story about how painless it can be. There are some that have alot of pain and some that don't, but when you start to lose that weight, what pain you had, is gone. It's a wild ride, hang on. Diane

Hi Diane, Thank you. I went and had a really good dinner last night with hubby and today i am on my clear liquids. I am starting to get excited about tomorrow but still have some jitters. I am as ready as I will ever be though! I was told by the bariatric nurse at the hospital that this wont be as bad as my c sections where..so that was good to hear since my c sections were not all that bad. I was up and walking around a few hours after. She said the worst of it will be gas pain which I have read people talking about here. So I am kind of prepared for that. Your right. soon all this will be a distant memory and i will be healthier and have more energy to keep up with my 5 year old daughter. in less than 24 hours i will be on the losers bench with you all!!

Thank you so much for your post.. today I will be just relaxing and go to a movie with hubby. House is cleaner than its ever been with all my nervous energy right now..lol. hubby was teasing me asking me if I am pregnant because the house hasn't been this clean since i was "nesting" . Dona - I hear you about the nerves. I need to get to the hospital tomorrow at 5:30 also - and am also enjoying liquids. I had my "last dinner" on Friday, which was really nice and very expensive and I enjoyed every bit of it! Then I started the clear fluids yesterday. I just want to get it over with! In the meantime - Happy Mother's Day to you! See you on the other side! - Carol
