Hey buddy.... CONGRATULATIONS girl!!! You have done a FANTASTIC job with your WLS and, "slow loser" or not, you are such a great success story! It may be taking longer for you but it IS happening and as your knee continues to recover you will be more and more active and that will help burn those calories too. Such a beautiful woman! Can't wait to see you again D, it's been too long! (((((BigBearHugz)))))

Diane - you are doing fantasic.  No matter how you are losing you are still losing.  You have gone through so much over the last 1-1/2 years.  You had the WLS and then Doug had knee surgery then your own knee surgery.   Now look at you!!! You look fabulous  You Are Hot !!! And it won't be long before you hit wonderland!!!

Everyday when I leave the new job and then drag my butt to bed at 6 pm, I wonder what in the hell was I thinking???  But you know, when I get a check, I am going to be very happy and it will just add to my little retirement check.  I have no time to do anything tho, except one day to rest.  I will get used to it, but it will take me a bit longer, I am old ya know? Hope you are doing well. Hugs, Diane

I too want to jump on the Braggin wagon! Last night my hubby and I went to a party at a friends house that we haven't seen in awhile. They had not seen me in over four years and had no idea that I had weight loss surgery.  It was such a self esteem booster to have them be so surprised at my weight loss and success.  The last time they had seen me I was wearing size 30 jeans and 3X  top so you can bet I was feeling really good in my new body and  loving every moment of the compliements that were coming my way.  This could not come at a better time. I just passed my four year WLS anniversary and have been beating my self up for not being at my goal weight  I have gone up within a five pound range of my lowest weight but still have not given up hope of being at goal. My hubby and I are starting back to the gym this week and we have commited to going at least three times a week and hopefully with a little hard work and sweat I will make it to my goal this year. I have to agree with Diane, to those of you that still have your Mom here treasure every minute.  I lost my Mom seven years ago to cancer and miss her everyday!  This is a really tough day for me!!! I certainly understand how tough it is, I lost my mom to cancer 3 years ago.  I am so sad that she never saw me thinner than I was. and that she is not here to see her great grandson grow.  You are certainly right, it's a very tough day for me and my two sisters also.   I wish you the best. Diane

Hi Diane, Funny that you said that your Mom never got to see the thinner you. My dear Mother always wanted me to lose the weight and I tried  everything and couldn't loose it.  Right before she got sick we had talked about weight loss surgery and she offered to pay for me to have it done.  I had insurance that would cover it but I guess I just had not hit rock bottom yet and always thought in my head that if I stayed at 300 pounds I would be alright, boy was I wrong I developed diabetes hypertension and a host of other weight related illness.  Loosing my Mom had such an inpact on me that I gained 35 pounds the year she passed away.  It was a hard loss, we were best friends and did eveything together.  I made it through today even though it was hard and I'm blessed to have a wonderful mother in law.
