Just had G-bypass surgery - looking for support group

I just had surgery on Monday, got to come home yesterday and I'm actually feeling "pretty good" today...sore, but good.  I'm really looking for some extra support, if anyone knows of a support group in No County San Diego.  Of course, I hope to make some new friends on line as well and this looks like a good place to start.  Good luck to all who have ventured down this same path. Hi DC, I'm in the Inland Empire so I don't of any support groups in your area. We have a lot of people from San Diego County on the boards, tho. They can help you out. I just wanted to welcome you to the Cali board and wish you luck on your WLS journey. =)

SueBee!!!!!!! I feeling great! I see Dr. Zorn on tuesday and get to move onto pureed/soft foods. I am sooo tired of liquids. But I am down 18.5 pounds since surgery... =) Hey, have you posted the pix to Photobucket yet?? How you doin'???

I have not uploaded my pics yet.  Unusual for me I usually get em done pronto.  I will do them tomorrow I promise.  PM me your email so I can get them to you.  Glad to hear you doing well.  I remember those liquids   YUK.  But Just wait for the soft stuff.  YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Im doing well I just celebrated my 2 year surgiversary Sat.  What a ride.

Glad to hear you are doing great.  I had very liquidy mashed potatos during that stage, it made me feel like I was getting food, LOL.  WTG on the weight loss! Annabelle

Congratulations and welcome to the LOSER's bench!! I'm a fellow Zornie too! Isn't he the bomb!!!  I don't really know of any support groups as I haven't found one yet either. There is one through Positive Choice (Kaiser) where I did my preop classes, but the leader (who was my teacher) sucks so we stopped going!!  Where in No County do you live? I live in Poway. We (a group of OHers)do a lunch every month in various SD locations and we have a great time, you should join us!  I'm always up for Starbucks support meetings too (hee hee)!
