Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been on the boards. I've lost 90lbs in 9 months and boy do I have the skin, yeast infections, rashes, back pain, etc to prove it.

I now have Kaiser, had IEHP at the time of surgery.

I've heard that they cover the panniculectomy (can you pay the difference for the TT?) do they cover a breast lift?

Thanks

Hey Jo.....that would be me. I had Kaiser plastics. Had only the panniculectomy and its been over 2 years. Very easy for me. Then, they didn't allow you to pay the diff but they may now.  I've also had friends that had the full TT covered at Kaiser so its worth it to check it out. You can read more about my plastics in my profile. Check the dates around March, April, or May 2006.

Oh and they do cover breast lifts if you sag enough to cause rash, or if you have 400 cc's to remove.

Good Luck!

Hi Barbara,

I'm doing well. I have had some really tough bouts of depression that i've been trying to work through. This surgery has really done alot to my system (good and bad) and coming to terms with the fact the problem may never be solved is really scary.

I just hope that we can get to the bottom of these problems and get my strength up.

Thanks

You should be able to pay the difference for a TT but most of us need a lower body lift depending how much you carried in your tummy.

I probably need a LBL but if I can even get a TT & BL I'll be thrilled. Those are the two places I get the worst yeast infections of course by the time I get into the doctor they infection/rash is gone

I think Kaiser asks about 3 or 5 thousand for a TT, I went to cosmedclinic.com in TJ, wonderful experience for a lower body lift and breast lift, I think both those will run you about $6,000.00 so we do have options to fix all the lose skin without paying too much.

WOW!! That's incredible!

I thought it would be at least 10 grand or so for a LBL and BL. Did that 6,000 include implants?

Thanks again

I don't have implants, just the breast lift, I think that might be an extra thousand.  The LBL and breast lift/implants is done all at the same time depending how much they have to remove from you, will run no more than 9 thousand on the high side if you want implants.  Should also included the surgical fee, you would have to contact them, ask about e-mailing pictures and getting a quote.
