Happy TGIF Cali

Good Morning Cali and a Happy TGIF to all of you!!! This week went by so darn fast....a good thing, but that meant that I have been so busy I do not know if I am coming or going really!

I up to my ears full blown ceramics at school. I had a regular pinch pot marathon going yesterday and the students managed to crank out about 140 pots! I can see what I am doing from now until the end of the yar....day in and day out....kiln time!!! YIKES!!! I love it, but hate at the same time because teaching ceramics to them is labo intensive and when you have 5 classes doing it at the same time YIKES!

Anywho today brings a very long day for me....work all day of course....but there is a Cinco de Mayo carnival after school today which my yearbook class is doing a photoboth. I painted a backdrop for it....thing is huge...the kids love it and were impressed as they watched it unfold....gotta love kids...good for your ego. This is double wide butcher paper and I could only reach the top standing on a chair...also painted in tempra...yeah kid school paint!

So along wth teaching and everything else during the day I managed to do this in 4 days! Plus after doing all of that....I have yet another interview at 4:45....I ought to be nice and wiped out by then!

This week also brought such an exciting week on the boards....Shells is the BIG LOSER!! Home safe and sound as a bug in a rug..and posting no less!

Just like our resided meow Katt....who I am going to slap when I see her if she does not lose the scale! Yes you heard me Missy Katt! LOL

Kristin is going under the knife south of the boarder!!! She is one brave girl! Not to mention she is going to look like even more of a hottie!!

And what about all those gals who are doing the 5day pouch thingie???? Stacie, Rachael, Misleidy, Beatrice to name a few!! All of you are doing incrediable and I/we are very proud of you..it is hard to get back to basics, but you all are proving what you all are made of and redediction to your health and committment to living a healthy lifestyle!!!!

This week we had an awesome WWW!!! Steve I was so happy to read that you did not lose. I get worried about you...and some of you did not post your incrediable wl because you had done it the day before..it all counts kids!!! I am proud of all the losers!

Lynnie...how are those headaches doing? I know you have to wear sunglasses....like you are not already cool enough as it is!!! I am surprised you guys do not have LCD's...a lot better on the eyes..overheads suck!

Sue did you have fun last night? Out partying and listening to Montgomery Gentry...like I know who that is. I didn't mention this but we have this thing out here called StageCoach each year and it is a country music weekend....lot of good headliners like Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw...The Eagles performed, Creedance was there...now if I had known the Eagles and Creedance was there I would have gone..it is the country music equvalent of Cochella Fest!

Chris S...you are almost on your way to Alaska girl..and you had better take some good pics to share!!! No underoo shots though like Miss LuLu takes  

Speaking Miss LuLu....6 pounds??? What you a twig now? It must be that bike riding!!!! You go girl!

Jean I have not seen you on the boards much...are you okay?

Both Monica's have been missing too! And both Monica's are rockin out in the exercise department! WOOHOO!!!!

Jodi...how is that gardening coming along? It is going to be one explosion of color in your yard soon...and do not forget the pics girl! I hope you are feeling good!

Rebecca B....glad you are settling well into your new job and living in one of the most beautiful places in our state!!!

Linda I know you had a glich with your cardio clearance but you know it is better to be safe than alternative. Your doctor just wants to make sure you are the best candidate for surgery..and trust me time will go faster than you think! Hang in there girl....lots of people around here waited a very long time to get surgery!

Groove Daddy....I am hoping that your sister is continuing to get better!

Me thinks JenDenni is up to her eyeballs in grandbabies....I could totally think of worse things!

Jillie I am glad your spirits have been lifted this week as POTW....things will get better...just have to be patient girl!!!

Speaking of which my beautiful Ava was fitted for her helmut on Tuesday and will get it next week. Docs said if she wears it for 22 hours a day...she should be able to have it off by the time she is one! YAY!! Pictures definitely when she gets it!

Well this turned out to be windy..sorry...just keeping up with the winds out here in the desert!

So what do you all have planned for the weekend? I know many of you will be celebrating being a mother along with celebrating your own mothers!!!

I am going to a big wedding tomorrow and can hardly wait to wear my new dress!!! I have not been to a wedding in a while...and I have a bunch of them stacked up all of a sudden!! YIKES!!!

GOod morning Janine and all my pals Well I wasn't around much yesterday for sure - I had banking to do in the morning then when I got home I just wasn't feeling that great.  I had woken up about 3 am coughing and all stuffed up which I attributed to allergies or something.  well low and behold by the afternoon yesterday I had a sore throat, stuffed up cough - dammit I have a big fat cold AGAIN.  I don't understand why I am getting sick so much - I take all my vitamins, eat lots of protein, yada yada, why do I keep getting these colds......(and I am an avid hand washer too.....) So for me today is nothing - I want to just stay home and drink a ton of water and crystal light and flood this bug out of my system.  If it is warmer today I want to go for a swim.....and soak up some natural vitamin D. Janine I love the painting you posted - its awesome....and after reading about your day  I am about to go back to bed as just reading all that you have to do just made me exhausted..... I am frustrated with my weight loss - I keep going up and down at the same place......I want to get to that 120 loss and each time I get close then I am up a few ounces....and YES I am a scale HO......sorry, I just can't help it.  I have stayed away from bad carb this week for sure and I think it helps - I don't know ....I don't want to complain because I know that losing this much weight in less than 9 months is great - but you all know how it is when you are so close to one of your mini goals you can taste it.  My next goal is to get into onederland - I am only about 23 lbs away.....and I WANT IT BAD.  Like I posted the other day - its like I don't want to eat but I know I have to.... Ok, enough rambling......time to finish taking my pills and go make some coffee.. Hugs to all

AS FOR MY GARDEN BEING I AM JUST STARTING OUT I SURE HOPE I DO IT ALL RIGHT. I GET SO EXCITED WHEN I SOMETHING START TO SHOOT UP OUT OF THE DIRT IN THE POTS. OR A ROSE OPEN. UNFORTUNATLY I HAVE TO STOP BUYING MINI ROSES OR DAVE IS GOING TO BEAT ME ABOUT THE HEAD AND SHOULDERS.. LOL...

 I NOW HAVE 31 MINI BUSHES. OMG I DIDNT REALIZE I HAD BOUGHT SO MANY. I GOT THEM ONLINE AND ONCE THEY START COMING TO THE HOUSE I FORGET I BOUGHT THEM. I HAVE TO STOP LOOKING AT FLOWERS. 

MY WONDERFUL 2 YEAR OLD GRAND DAUGHTER WAS OUT SHOWING HER GRANDPA HER LITTLE GARDEN THAT HE HELPED HER WITH. I HAD SHOWED HER THAT A COUPLE OF HER SEEDS WHERE STARTING TO GROW AND SO WHEN HE GOT HOME SHE TOOK HIM OUT THERE TO SHOW HIM. WELL WHILE HE WAS LOOKING SHE MANAGED TO TAKE 6 TAGS OUT OF MY MINI ROSE POTS AND NOW I HAVE 6 THAT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE. THE TAGS DON'T SAY WHAT COLOR THEY ARE, THEY HAVE NAMES LIKE EARTHQAKE AND STARS AND STRIPES... NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON A 2 YEAR OLD FOR NOTHING... 

ONCE I DECIDE WHERE I'M GOING TO PUT ALL THE POTS IN THE YARD,( THAT IS IF I HAVE ENOUGH ROOM) AND THEY START TO BLOOM I WILL TAKE A PICTURE FOR YOU. I JUST HOPE I DO HAVE ENOUGH ROOM FOR THEM. OUR YARD ISN'T YOUR TYPICAL BACK YARD AS WE HAVE 3 HUGE STORAGE SHEDS IN ONE PART OF THE YARD THEN MY GRAND DAUGHTERS SWINGSET AND SANDBOX AND PLAY AREA. THE ONLY REASON WE CLEANED OUT THE YARD WAS SO WE COULD LET HER PLAY OUT BACK. AND BECAUSE I WENT OUT THERE TO SEE HER I STARTED PRUNNING MY WHITE CLIMBING ROSE BUSH THAT I HAVE HAD FOR OVER 25 YEARS, AND THE IDEA FOR JUST ONE MORE ROSE BUSH HAPPEND... A WEEK LATER I HAD ORDERED 4 STANDARD ROSES AND 31 MINIS EXOCITC CALLA LILIES, DAHLIAS MIXED FLOWERS AND MORE,

 OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE...    WELL PROVIDED NOT TO MANY FLOWERS DIE I HOPE TO HAVE A LOT OF COLOR IN THE YARD. DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

WELL I SEEM TO BE EXTREMELY TALKATIVE TODAY, SO I BETTER STOP NOW BEFORE I HAVE NO MORE FRIENDS.

Wow, I think I am tired just listening to your schedule! LOL I will be thinking good thoughts for your interview today.
I have a busy weekend planned but, of course I must get through today first. We are trying our best to get and hit each standard I am coming mighty close to checking off each and every single one. We are learning and having fun (most of the time) as we go.
I only had one headache this week so I am doing well.

Morning everyone... So excited to see my sister coming up this weekend and then heading out to Monterey tomorrow after my son's t-ball game.  I will TRY my hardest to not stress over what Mike is doing this weekend and enjoy myself.   It should be a lot of fun between my sister and I (who act like we are 12 together), my oldest and her BFF (both 12) and then our two youngest.  Anyway, hope that everyone has a great day and an even better weekend! hugs to all, vicki
