Hello ....all I have been away for a while it is good to know this site is still going strong and giving support ...I have been having some isssues and trying hard to deal with them I am a size 16 now from a 26/28 and I am loving it . I am also having cravings for sweets and cruncy things which I never wanted pre-op. I am so afraid of gaining and it is stressing me out I had my lap rny in July  of 2007 I am now having trouble with my best friend of 20+ years she acts totally different towards me now. I am starting to wander if it is time to let our friendship go or risk getting my feelings hurt once again. I  need support guys....I do not want to regain and maybe if someone lives near Inglewood or hawthorne area we can meet and excersise together ....I do it at home but I need to get out of this house. I am back home to stay this time. Tanyab

I AM SORRY THAT I DON'T LIVE NEAR YOU, BUT WE ARE ALL ONLY A CLICK AWAY HERE. STICK AROUND THERE ARE PLENTY OF US HERE TO HELP. 

A LOT OF US HAVE EITHER BEEN WHERE YOU ARE OR AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER WILL BE THERE. ALL I CAN SAY IS IF YOUR FRIEND IS TRULY A FRIEND THEN SHE WOULD NEVER EVER HURT YOUR FEELINGS INTENTIONALLY. LIFE IS TO SHORT AND FULL OF FUN TO LET SOMEONE TAKE THE FUN AND FASINATION OUT OF IT.

 AS FOR CRAVING THE CRAP FOOD AS I CALL IT. I AM ALMOST 4 YEARS OUT AND 2 YEARS AGO TESTED THE WATERS OF THE SWEETS AND I AM NOW FIGHTING THE BATTLE OF LOSING 40 POUNDS THAT THE CRAVINGS OF THE CRAP FOOD DID TO ME... LIKE THEY SAY A CRAVING LAST FOR 20 SECONDS OR SO BUT THOSE DARN POUNDS CAN LAST A LIFETIME. 

THERE ISN'T ANY SWEETS, LIQUIDS, BREADS, CAKES PIES OR WHAT EVER THAT IS WORTH MESSING UP ALL YOUR HARD WORK. PLEASE, PLEASE , PLEASE  DON'T LISTEN TO THOSE FOOLISH CRAVINGS. FIND A SUBSITUTE FOR THE SWEETS AND YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. HERE'S HOPING YOU FIND SOMEONE TO EXERCISE WITH, BUT UNTIL YOU DO JUST EXERCISE BY RUNNING AWAY FROM THE KITCHEN.

Hi Tanya, I am sorry that you having such a difficult time with your friend.  I would love to exercise with you.  Maybe we could go walking sometime.   I live in L.A. and quite often is in Inglewood.  I had the same thing happen with me and my best friend of 25 years.  Something you think will be forever and then it just slips away.   Kim

I don't live close enought to exercise with you, but am having the same issue with "bad foods" haunting me right now!! I'm so stressed over it too and am doing the 5DPT next week to try to gain control again!  I can offer you support and hugs!! We are here for you sweetie!!!   Sorry about your friend. I just lost someone that I thought was my best friend and it hurts bad, but sometimes these things happen. I hope you work it out!!!   big hugs, Becky

It is just a way to go back to the basics firsts of WLS to get your pouch back to "tight" and to break the carb habits. I am starting it on Monday and several others are doing it with me. I will be posting daily on this board, so if you want to do it with us, let me know! I've been putting it off for months, but NEED to do it for sure!!! I am sooooo out of control since my cruise!!! Haven't really gained, but haven't lost in 3 months. I don't think I normally eat enough so I have to go back to DailyPlate too and log my food intake to see what is really up!  Hope this helps sweetie!!  Anything I can do to help, I'm here!!  big hugs, Becky

Hi! I know how you are feeling food wise. Remember this...Every moment is another moment to make a better decision. Take it one moment at a time! If you can't find someone to work out with, try finding a running club in your area. Don't be intimidated either, all runner s were non runners at some point in their lives. And you don't have to do huge miles, you can train for a 5k... It's a great way to meet people. And I'm sorry about your friend. Have you talked to her about how she is making you feel. Friends are hard to come by and worth a lot effort before you let them go.  Hang in there, Rachel
