Thanks everyone.. but Janine, it was your food plan, that got me going.. I have never been 'diet saavy' and in ALL honesty- GBS for ME was easy! I didnt have any problems, I didnt regain, I didnt have to exercise alot.. for six years--so to have to THINK about how to break the hold the carbs and other bad habits had on me (amazing how they CREEP up on you, isn't it)- I needed a black and white plan of what to eat.. and you gave me that..

Yeah for us! Day four and feeling really good. I don't know if I've lost any weight, but I sure feel like a huge weight has been lifted off me!  Hugs, Rachel

Hi Stacie, Congrats on getting to day 3.  Its so hard.  I did the 5 day pouch test last week and it was harder than anything I have done in a long time, but I told myself I had to do it no matter what and I stuck to it (much to my surprise)  I lost 4 1/2 pounds while doing it and an additional 2 since I have stuck to the no snacking on crackers, wheat thins, bread, cheeseits, etc. rule this week.  Each day seems to get easier.  I am limiting myself to eating lunch out once a week so not only am I being healthier and losing some weight but I am also saving money :-)  So, keep on going.  You will do great!!

Hang in there, girl!!!!! You are doing great. I'm trying to get back to the basics too. Trying to really watch my portions, carb intake, etc. And for me, trying to really focus on my vitamins. I had my lab work done last week and although everything was in normal range, a few were very low normal and I don't want to be a vitamin slacker anymore.  So I am joining you on your back to basics quest! I see my surgeon a week from today for my 3 year post-op check up and I love going because he always tells me I'm a success even though I still have 25 pounds to lose. It always pumps me up to do good after visiting him! LOL
