Good Sunday Morning Cali

Good Morning Everyone....and I know most of you are sleeping!

True to form, I am up...too good to be true to sleep like I did yesterday. I am okay with it because I know I have another lazy, I do not care kind of day ahead of me!

I have been going and going for so long that it is weird almost to have a weekend with no committments. I was able to dork around yesterday getting a pedi and some errands and even gave the man who alters my clothes his jollies for the day with his free feel-up! What a perv he is...but a nice one! It was a gorgeous day out here in the desert too...warm, but not bad since our humidity is really low right now...I think it was 6% yesterday. Eyes are really ouchie and irritated...grumble, grumble.

So Steve...I meant to post to you about your garden pics....gorgeous....my favorite one is the Calla. I use to have those along with some very old fuschia's in my front yard in the bay area. The calla's were very big and gorgeous and I would cut them and put them in a cobalt blue face on my dinning room table...loved it. I am sure I could get them to grow here, but I am not into using the water out here. Only go indig here! You ought to take one of your photo's of your flowers and use it as a first painting project...they could be done in a variety of mediums!

Hey myspace users....I keep getting asked to be on peoples friends list and when I copy and paste it...doesn't work for me. Also do any of you know how to get all the advertising off your page? I am so challenged with that stuff!

Good Sunday Morning to you and all the crew Janine!    D and I had a great time yesterday running around spending the birthday gifts on clothes for me!! We started with breakfast at Dennys since we can both eat off the seniors menu there now!    Pennys had a wonderful early bird sale from 8 - 1 and I got awesome deals on the stuff I bought there. Then on to Target and finally Macys. Too much fun and now I have clothes for summer that fit my thinner frame! Also drove over to our favorite nursery in Riverside and picked up two grape vines, a Thompson seedless and Perlette seedless for the side of our patio.  Today has haircuts and some gardening on the agenda. How exciting that you liked the Calla Lily picture as that is my favorite too. Hum-m-m-m, good idea to use that as a painting project, but where do I begin???? Are there good books I could get at the library you would reccomend to learn with? Or how did you get started and learn how to use the tools and supplies? I am wanting to make a nice print of that photo to frame as well. I need to figure out where to have that done at as, good as a photo printer ours is, I want a large print and I think the file is such that it could be suitable for a large print. Anyway I'm off to read some more on Days of Our Cali Board Lives and to puruse the Sunday papers so I will sign off with (((((BigBearHugz))))) to you my dear!     

Hey Steve I told you I would help you....and the other thing is...you should just got to the art store or Michaels, buy a canvas (a size you might be comfortable with) and I would suggest starting in acrylics....sketch the flower and what other details you want on their with a piece of vine charcoal and just start testing the waters! I still have my first canvas painting that I did and although my style has hugely changed...there is nothng like the first one!!! Mabye after your meeting if I can make it....I will show you if you have the supplies!

Oh yeah and when are you doing a coffee thing?  

 

HI STEVE. I HAVE A QUESTION. WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR BEST PLANTS, BULBS, SEEDS AND ROSE BUSHES FROM. I PURCHASED 2 GREEN AND PINK BARE ROOT ROSE BUSHES FROM COTTAGE FARMS ON QVC. HOPING THAT THEY GROW WELL.( I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR COLOR.)  THEY ARE STANDARD SIZE. JUST WONDERING IF YOU HAVE JUST AS GOOD OF LUCK WITH ROSES AND BULBS AND SUCH FROM LIKE WALMART OR LOWES AND SUCH. THEN AT HIGH PRICE NURSERY'S OR PLACES THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING AND WAIT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS TO WEEK. Hey Ms Shell....hope you have loads of fun out there today...I so love playing softball and did for years for a church until I tore my rotator cuff in a motorcycle accident....but it was the best!

I have no hope of my eyes getting better at this point...between being allergic to my classroom and the wind blowing here, my eyes are looking pretty bad. My eye doc is going to have a cow when he sees me this week. I am a very powerful steriod for my eyes and have to be check for glacouma every 3 months because it is that strong. It helps a bit, but still no relief! I am getting a permanent band in one eye of dryness across it. Nice eh?  I think since my work is such buttafuco's to me..I ought to call OCSHA on them!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe I ought to even do a WC on them !!

Hey Janine, I had a great day always do.  One day I'll have to see about playing at least one season.  I TOTALLY sucked at softball as a child.  I was surprised when we went to the batting cages that I was actually able to hit a ball...several of them.  So once I get down you never know right?!! Well get some relief soon!! Ms Shell

Morning!  I didnt know you had Myspace!  I am on there too...just can't do the link thingy right this second. It was really nice around here yesterday, but we spent the day indoors watching movies.  All kinds of rentals that I have been wanting to see.  Juno, Atonement, Nancy Drew.....etc.  The first two were REALLY good- the rest were kiddie movies, so I napped off and on during those.  Trying to come up with something for today~ but, the lack of $$ and the gas prices combined are making in difficult to come up with something to do around here because you just have to drive so far to do anything.  (this is my usual complaint about being up here and some days gets me into such a funk because I dont have things close by for me to do with the kids like I did in San Diego.)    Oh well, my two little ones are fighting ALREADY.  Oh my god, it is going to be a long day...... hugs to all!

Hey pretty girl....so you are in a funky monkey again or still? Cheer up....just remember nothing is forever! I know it is hard on you and the kids not being able to go do things, but knowing you....you will pull something out of the hat!

BtW...how is your paper going? Need help?

 I also watched Atonement last night....good movie eh? I want to get Juno and a few others, but I keep forgetting to send my netflex movies back....I think I am going to throw them in the mailbox right now so I will not forget!

Hey there.... The funkiness comes in stages.  I just have a real hard time on weekends when all 3 kids are home and trying to find things that will keep them from getting after each other.  I am getting ready to feed them an early lunch/late breakfast and then send them outside..... My paper?  ugh.  I havent even looked at anything for it in a few weeks.  It is due May 23rd and I am sure that I will get it done without problem....but it has been difficult to find enough things to write about that is 4-5 pages worth, you know?   Anywho....off to eat a little something.
