Diet Snapple Question

Hi there  peeps! I have a quick question. My surgeon's book states that we can have unlimited clear liquids for the first 7 days. In there it gives examples of broth, water, crystal lite, decaf hot or cold tea, sugar free jello and diet snapple. However, I have a question. if we are supposed to have caffine free products for the first 30 days, why is Diet Snapple ok? Does it not have enough caffeine to make a difference?

Every surgeon is different.  My surgeon said that I could have diet snapple as well, but it was too sweet for me even after adding water that I don't drink it.  This caffine issue is still a mystery.  Follow the instructions of you surgeon if you trust his/her post op knowledge.

I just asked that same question the other day! My surgeon said that we can drink the non-tea Diet Snapples.  I am particularly fond of the Diet Mango Madness. Hope this info helps!

We werent supposed to have caffeine, either. In the hospital after surgery  I was served broth, herbal tea and diet Snapple peach  tea.............

~~ It's all fun and games, til someone gets hurt~~

So much has changed in wls protocal since I had the surgery. I was drinking coffee on day 2 and doc said it was fine as long as I could tolerate it. I would stick to the protocal is all I would do April....use those fruit flavored snapples!

Hope you are feeling good and healing fast! Bounce

There is diet snapple that isn't tea.  There are several different kinds of flavors, maybe that is what he meant?  Also try propel, it's a good way to get the liquids in you need.  I still drink 2-3 of them a day. Good luck
