Good Morning to you Mz. Jillie and Cali Crew! Great shout out this morning sweetie and since you are posting the morning thread I guess that must mean tomorrow is  Friday !!!!!!!!!!!!  Woohoo  Thumbs Up I am bummed for my Angel this morning having heard that she let Max cross the rainbow bridge yesterday. Max was the coolest dog! Just a happy boy and those kind of dogs, like our Joe, are a blessing to share your life with. But he was suffering and the time had come to do the right thing, hard as that is. Please keep Luana in your thoughts and prayers today as she grieves for the loss of her buddy, Max.                                         Dog 6  Here is the link to her support page if any of you would like to leave her a note of sympathy.... http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/status.php? HI STEVE     QUESTION????  IF YOU HAD 17 MINIATURE ROSE BUSHES ALL COLORS AND DIDN'T WANT TO PLANT THEM IN THE GROUND, WHAT WOULD YOU PLANT THEM IN AND HOW MANY WOULD YOU PLANT IN ONE PLANTER? TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT SIZE PLANTER AND WHAT SHAPE PLANTER WOULD LOOK THE BEST. NOT TO SURE IF PLANTING MINI ROSES CLOSE TOGETHER WOULD HURT EACH ONE OR NOT. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD YOU PLEASE POST BACK WITH ANY ADVICE FOR ME. THANKS LOVE, I WOULD REALLY APPRCIATE IT. HOPE YOUR HAVING A WONDERFUL DAY.

Ooooooooooo, a gardening question about my favorite plants!!!  Rose  Single Yellow Rose Roses  Flowers Flowers For You  They should do well in a basic terra cotta pot, 18". Plastic would be OK if you are careful to not overwater as they like being moist but they can be very sensitive to their roots being in soggy soil and will drown pretty easily. I reccomend Miracle Grow potting mix with moisture control as well. We have good success using it to mitagate over and underwatering, especially here where the summers are hot and dry like where you are. I'd go with one plant per pot as you can then move them around easily for effect or to try out different combinations of colors and forms. Remember to be sure they get AT LEAST 4 hours of direct sun per day. Roses want that sun. All day sun is good. Again, be sure they never totally dry out! Potted roses need daily attention in the water department especially in summer.  So another concept that would be cool too is one of those 1/2 whiskey barrels that you can get for about 20.00 at Lowes or Home Depot ot K-Mart. You could put, probably, up to 7 minis in one with some annuals and make a georgous planting. This one you wouldn't be able to move around of course unless it's on a patio and you install casters on it first so you can roll it around. Well, there you have it.... rose culture tips from Steve!      Roll     ROTFL     Laughing 2 Happy gardening Miss Jodi, my friend!  Big Hug Hugs And Kisses Kisses

Oh Thank you so much Steve. I appreciate all the tips. I'm hoping to have great success with them. I have planted the standard size rose bushes but I really wanted lots of roses with lots of colors. I love the 1/2 whiskeey barrel idea.  I'm going to try that one for sure. I will make sure hubby gets the miricale grow potting soil, it sounds like the easiest to use. Heres to 2 beautiful flower gardens this year, Yours and mine. Thanks again for everything, I knew I asked the right guy. Have a wonderful day my friend Double Kiss

Hey there.... Well, for someone that hasn't done a shoutout in a while, you sure did a FINE job!!!!  I am going to TRY to work on some schoolwork today.  I have lost ALL motivation to do any of it.  I haven't bee sleeping very well at night and it is affecting me in the day. (probably coupled with a little bit of depression) and all I want to do is nap after I get my little guy from preschool.  I still get my assignments done and all, but it is always last minute.  I have a report due on May 23rd and have it about half way done and....ugh...I hate researching! Okay, off to make sure the kiddos are eating their breakfast so we can head out the door. Hope everyone has a great day and thanks to you Jillie! Hugs to all, Vicki

Good morning Jillie and Cali! Thanks for the shout out Jill - fantastic job. I do feel blessed to be working for such a great company and be happy with my job. I know it doesn't happen often and I do intend on sticking around here for a while. The remarkable thing is, they like me too! LOL We do need to get together soon. If not before, maybe the SLO support group on the 27th?????? Looking forward to tomorrow being Friday then it's all about Sammi for the weekend. Hope everyone has a great day! Sue

Happy Thursday Cali Crew, Jillie- what a cute dog.  Nice pic.  Thanks for the shout out. I am running 4 miles now in 50 minutes.  I am excited about the Santa Monica Classic that coming up on Sunday.  I cannot get running out of head (this is for Kirsten). I am knitting a beaded scarf.  I am just now getting used to handling the beads while on the yarn now.  SO , I am going to pick up a little speed.  Plus I have to finish Jordyn's baby blanket, and then start another one.  Also, I am working on a cowl neck summer top in various blues and lavender. I purchased a bike (Electra Townie 21 speed) last night, but I noticed that the fender is broken in two places.  I am hoping to get that repaired or replaced with no problems. Everyone have a great day. Kim

Good Morning Jillie and the Cali Crew!

This morning finds me sitting at the Riverside Hall of Justice waiting to be called in for Jury Service. I thought I would luck out this year and not get called in, yet here I sit. I was smart enough to bring my computer, though, as they provide wireless internet access!! Wohoo! So at least I'll have something to do all day.

VEGAS BABY!!! I say we start planning something after the camping trip in July. I know that as of now, my money is going towards the accumulation of camping gear. I don't know exactly what to get, but REI and Campingworld.com have some good lists to go off of. My husband has decided not to go camping with me He's not a big fan of camping, but I haven't been out in the wild in so long, I can't wait!

Anyway, that's all. They are starting to call names for the first round of service. At least they are starting with the A's - and I'm a K. Wohoo! Have a good day California!
