YAY it is WWW and a Happy Humpday to all of you!!

Each week, I guess I add the numbers wrong, but hey I never claimed to be a math major either! Good thing Mr. Steve is good with the calculating and thank gawd I am not your accountant!!!! ROTFLYou all would be in super trouble with the IRS!

Anywho....have you gotten on your scale this week to weigh? Let's get that tally going....you know the drill...whatever you are comfortable with.....pounds lost (make sure when you say you have lost a total that you put the individual amount for the week), how you feel about yourself, how the clothes fit....like I said what you are comfortable with...we are all here to support one another.

I still do not know how I continue to lose, but  I am down another 2.3 pounds this week. I adhere to a strict 40-50 carb intake a day unless I blow it with a ****tail on occasion. I am at my thinnest yet and I do not know where it is going to take me, but I am feeling so good adhereing to this that I am not willing to alter my diet in any way.  I think it is a miracle for sure! I also had a nice little dressing room WOW moment....I did infact go buy the BCGB dress yesterday and wore it in a size M! It feels awesome on as it is a soft jersey material and feels good on your skin. Here is a pic of it...it doesn't really show the great saturated colors like it looks in person, but you get the idea:

dress-1.jpg picture by JanineJI also bought my first strapless bra. I know that might seem like no big deal, but it is for me as I have issues there! I can hardly wait to wear it this wedding on the 10th! Oh yeah and the other best part...if I wait until tomorrow to pick it up, Macy's gave me 20% off! Yeeeeeeeeeeehaw!

Today lets make sure that we keep Katt and April in our thoughts and prayers that they are resting comfortablly and will make a speedy recovery! I am so happy for the both of them! Katt's hubby keeps calling before I fall asleep!

Although I have to say Jeff did wake me after another phone call from my son telling us to go outside as our mountians are on fire! I know a lot of you must know in the area that the fire is buring close to Idyllwild, but it has come up over the ridge of San Jacinto and there is a scary fire line that is still growing. Our valley air is going to be bad and for sure it is going to be a difficult fire as the terrain is bad and the winds are exceptionally high again...figures. I am sure it has to either be arson or carelessness. There was no natural causes at this point that I have heard of. Please people pray that the fire does not hit the town of Idyllwild. That are is a disaster looking for a place to happen with all the beetle problems that have killed off a lot o the timbers. I am afraid to see what is going on at daylight....looks eerie in the nightsky right now.

There has been a surge of oldies but goodies returning to the boards posting their struggles along with some people who are not such oldies according to their surgery dates. I strongly urge especially the newbies and people who are waiting to have surgery to read those posts and learn from them. I commend all of the people who are willing to be honest with themselves and all of us and post their struggles. WLS for sure is not a cure, it is only a tool to assist us with living a healthier lifestyle. There will never be a cure for our addictions. We can keep them at bay with hard work, but addictions of any sort are powerful and will win over if we are conscious and honest with what we are doing!!! Thank you to all of you for your honesty! It really helps me and all of us a lot to know we are not alone!

Couple of quick shout outs:

Diane, I am glad your 1st day of work went well. I knew it would and I hope that you will be able to get a chair that will be good for your back!

Gene...glad to hear that your sister is doing better and thanks for updating us!

Lynnie...sweet girl....here is hoping to another day without a migraine. I feel so bad for you!

Jodi...want to see pics of the garden...sounds like you are going to have a great yard full of color this year!!! You and Steve are the gardening queens for sure! And I think your new thing of gardening is a good thing!

Christine...hang in there....is almost Friday!

YAY for Monica P with the scale moving. You have been doing it right all along! I also wanted to say...tread lightly with the woman and like everyone said...start off by being casual and if it is meant to be to share what you have done, it will come...know what I mean! I know you have the best intentions, but like everyone else voiced...she might not take it well if you blurt it out to begin with!

Jill and Christine both....I know it is hard saying your kids are graduating and btw the way....congratulations to both of them! It gets hard to imagine and wonder where the years go when they get my son's ages. I am telling you...it is killing me! LOL

Vicki...135 days in the grand scheme of things is not POOP! You are strong and time will fly!!! I am proud of how you have held your family together....YOU ARE A HERO TOO!

Well I am going to wander back to the sack. I wish you all a very very Happy HUMPDAY!!!

PEACE OUT!!!! Biker Babe

Good morning Janine  and all the Cali folks

I'm so happy for you, your weight loss is wonderful and the fact that your tool is still working that great after 4 years is awesome. Gives me and I'm sure others hope that we too can do this. I will be praying that your town stay safe from the fire.  That dress is adorable and I bet looks wonderful on you. As for the strapless bra's I never had any luck when it came to keeping those things up right on me. Good luck.

I would love to share pictures of my flowers once they have all bloomed provided my black thumb doesn't do damage to the garden. One things for sure the flowers keep me busy and my mind on other things then food, I like that. Hubby brought home 2 tomatoe plants yesterday and said give it a try you never know. So I will be trying to grow some tomatoes also.

Well time to switch loads of laundry. Take care and have an awesome day all.

Good morning Janine and Cali crew - I LOVE the dress Janine - next we need pics of YOU in it!  Well speaking of carbs, I was looking at my yogurt container for some info and my eye**** the carbs there!  OMG - I guess I started eating them on my soft phase and kept it up - but I've never been able to loose unless I keep carbs way down also - and since I quit eating them, I lost 7 lbs this week!  Finally the scale moved!  I don't expect that to continue at that rate since I'm a bandster - but it was getting damn depressing.  I don't / WON'T journal food (at least not in my lifetime), which would have pointed this out to me much sooner - but now I realize it, so I'm making new progress.  In two weeks I'll be in Alaska cruizin' around - and CAN'T WAIT! Stay safe from those fires and everyone who just had surgery - get well quickly! Chris

Chris I looked at Jeff's yogurt and OMG it was 51 carbs. I nearly choked! I eat that carb controlled Light and Fit yogurt from Dannon. It has 3 carbs per serving and it is YUM! Have a great day Chris and a big congrajo's on the awesome WL!!!!!!!!!

Hi Chris! The Dannon Light and Fit is way better as Janine said and also the Fage, which is very high in protein. I use the Trader Joes brand of the greek yogurt, it is cheaper and has more protein and less sugars. The one I use has only 7 carbs, 4 sugars, and 16 proteins. I use the 2% one. It is great, but not as is, must make it flavored. I will tell you my faves if you are interested. I LOVE IT!!!!  You will have a blast on your cruise, I'm very excited for you!!!!  biggest hugs, Becky
