I'm overweight! (Long post from a 4 year post op)
Hello Rach:
Stacie here "standing up", I am +6 years post op, up 30 pounds from my very lowest and 15 from my "average daily weight that my skin is comfortable in". I am once again feeling the same way you do, my clothes are uncomfortable, I hate shopping, I hate getting dressed, I hate the bloated fat feeling I am feeling all day long. Everyday I think I am going to improve my daily habits, starts off real well, but by mid day I find myself grazing on too many things. I am a food addict, I dont eat when I am hungry, I eat because I like food in my mouth, the minute the "full" feeling passes I want to eat again.
I know my downfalls: carby snacks ( sure they are low fat, or fruits, but damn it they are still fattening), too much alcohol, diet soda, not enough water, and way too little exercise).
I have not yet accepted the term failure, I think knowing what the issues are is a great start to fixing the issue.
I REFUSE to become that almost 300 pound person I once was.
Thank you for the sobering post.
