I have recently learned and honestly maybe I already knew but just chose to ignore it.. that I have to say goodbye to my new found friend  I have come to really enjoy the time that we spend together.  The great feeling that I get when I am done and leave the room.  Then at the same time sacrafices have to be made with this weight loss tool and one of them is letting you go.  I can not take chances when you equal 20g of carbs in only one wedge, and no nutritional value at all.    So I will have to say farewell to my Watermelon and move on to healthier fruit choices.  I am in search of a new friend in the fruit dept.. any suggestions..

Berries!  For fruits, they are relatively low-carb, high in fiber, and packed with anti-oxidants and vitamins.

I feel for you on this one!! Years ago I went to a health spa sort of place---and watermelon and watermelon juiced ( the best) were an important part of the diet---- it was breakfast! ( cleansing diet)   One of their credo's was that you couldn't really gain weight on watermelon!   Sad to realize that we are saying goodbye to this one!  I haven't had the surgery yet---so I'll be reading the posts for good fruit choices.  take care, Lori

Actually you do not have to give it up. What you have to do is portion control. I eat it, but only one half cup for breakfast and it is only 6 carbs. Everything is about balance and portion control and I am not talking about how much our pouches will hold. You have to balance your diet and spread your carbs out. I would not want to get half of my carbs a day from a slice of watermelon, but can hang with a half cup!

Berries are high in carbs too....all fruit is...it is the portion that counts girl!

Good luck! Bounce
