I just got the email saying that this years headliner concert for the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll marathon will be Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo! - I'm very excited to see them again! I went to see them last year at a casino with a friend who didn't know who Pat Benatar is!!! We left early because it was loud and my friend didn't really dig it! I'm gonna stay for this whole concert. Last year's Seal concert was cool, but I left a bit early... The concert will be at Concerts on the Green @ Qualcomm Stadium -The tickets are 30 bucks if you don't have a race number - kids under 6 are free! heck, if you really wanna see the show beg a number off a friend who's running but not going to the concert! LOL... C h e e r s, gene

I LOVE Pat Benatar!!!! I would consider entering just to see her!
Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Serious!?  Is there a half-marathon option? I'd walk it...

No 1/2 marathon option.  I was thinking about possibly coming down for the weekend anyway to cheer on the runners and do the concert thing, but honestly...I've done the Pat Benetar thing many times.  She actually performed at the Breast Cancer walk last year at the Collesium.  Who knows, maybe I'll still come down and enjoy the weekend?  I believe you can buy extra tickets to the post race concert.  Go ahead and check the website.

honey you could always come & walk the first FEW miles with me.. cuz you love me.. or just meet me towards the end & make my butt run the last few.. I will take all the support I can get.. as long as you got some peanut butter & jelly sandwiches with you..  Dana is coming out to support a bunch of us as well.. come on.. you can do it.. and if you want you can come to the after party... pool party that is.. my cousins have a house down there & we will be partying poolside after the run/concert etc...  H

So if there is anyone else who has a number ( or two) , but is not staying for the concert I will take the concert pass of your hands : )

Pat Benetar does a great show!

I bought tixs to last years Seal show and then was unable to go for various reasons, I was very disappointed.

I saw Hootie and The Blowfish the first year they had the R&R marathon, it was downtown and a blast!

Good Luck to the runners

WLS is not a magic bullet, it is a daily choice of good decisions for life long health! What do you choose to do today?

I will probably be out of commission after the run--always am! I would love to see her, but will probably be over in a corner somewhere puking. LOL. This will be my LAST marathon! I'm retiring. :)

Scott was already talking about the Pasadena...dang it. I want to so bad, but just hate trying to find the time to train. It really stinks sometimes! I'm already DREADING the 23 miler this Sunday and wishing I would come down with the flu or something so I won't have to go. LOL...UGH!
