How Bad is the hair loss?

I've lost lots of hair. Luckily I have plenty of hair- no one can tell but me! I have not taken Biotin and I'm sure my protein is not perfect. I try though.

I've lost none... My nut. suggested starting my biotin and vitamins a month before surgery  and every day since... maybe luck...maybe supplements....either way...I'm so so glad I had one less thing to stress about! xxxbecca

I am 4 months post-op and began losing hair after 3 months.  My doctor says that there is no medical evidence stating that supplements of any sort will help one way or the other, that it is the stress of the surgery, not lack of vitamins that causes the hair to fall out.  Now, I don't know if I believe that, but that's what their information states.  I use Nioxin shampoo, but am still losing hair, but who knows how bad it would be without it.  I hear that I can expect re-growth by 9 months, and am looking forward to that.

I lost lots of hair (had lots to start with though). I knew I would though, because I always lose hair due to anesthesia (sp?).  What was weird is that it grew back in with a totally diffent texture and much darker color, but it back to its original fullness.

Hi!  I noticed it right at about 3 mos post op, I increased the amt of protein I was taking in, and now, at about 7 mos post op it's much much less.  Even the gal who cuts my hair mentioned that it came out very evenly, so I was very lucky.
