Helmuth T. Billy, M.D.?

I was wondering if anyone here has had Helmuth T. Billy, M.D. do their surgery and if so what was your experience?

I did, and my experience was great!  He and his staff are wonderful, and his education, surgical experience and aftercare are all top notch.  Please feel free to email me if you need any more information.

I used to work with Billy when he was still in Sacto. --- he is a wonderful person as well as surgeon!!!

Oh cool! I'm going to one of his seminars in May. One thing though on his website it looks as though his specializes in the Lap band and I want the Gastric Bypass so I hope this will be the right choice if I use him.

I think the majority of his practice is gastric bypass at this point.  I had gastric bypass, and most of his patients that I have met did, as well.  He does both.

I love the man. He is an excellent, to the point, surgeon. His staff is first rate in every respect. I would recommend he and his team without hesitation. Good luck! Ben

Hi Ben!

On a personal note, I worked in the hospital that Dr Billiy did his residency many many years ago.. he is very nice,friendly and funny. He is extremely smart and serious about his profession. He was very respected by both his fellow residents and the department heads. I was there for 11 years so I saw many a resident..and trust they may have been taught the science of medicine but some of them were never taught the art of being human..

Thank you everyone I think Ive made my decision to have him do my surgery now . I will know for sure after the seminar in May.
