Hiho Hiho, it's off to work I go!!! Dang now I am going to be waiting for TGIF!  So I am about to leave in a bit and head out to my new work.  Geesh, 6 is really early in the morning but I got ready in less than an hour, which is good for me.  Of course I have been prepping to get things done for days.  Cleaned out things, cleaned up the computer room so I don't have all those bills staring at me.  I am excited, let's see how excited I am tonight after I get home from therapy.  Good grief, one tired person.   Ok, thank you all for signing my page, I am off, I got my bags packed, well my lunch in a cooler, and here I go.  Hope they are ready for what's coming. I hope that everyone has a WONDERFUL and funfilled day, even if you gotta go to work. Hugs, Diane

Morning! What a cute picture!!  I can't wait to get back into the pool.... Well, I did hear from Mike yesterday morning.  All is well with him and our guys over there. If anyone is really interested, you can get onto Yahoo news or Reuters.  Reader's Digest version is that it was Afghan's Independence Day yesterday, they were having a parade, the Afghan President got up to make a speech and all hell broke loose.  Some of our guys were out there and because of it being a ceremonial-type thing, were NOT allowed to wear their full body armor.  THANK God that no one of our guys were hurt, however, there were a few civilian and Afghan army fatalaties.  The thing is, Mike's is the lowest enlisted ranking guy there right now and as soon as he got back from being here with us, he was told that he would have to be in this ceremony.  Well, he was still going through Jet Lag and pretty much told them to stuff it- he wasn't going to do it.  He said that he could hear all the gunfire and such from his barracks.  Again....WAY too close. Not to long after that was all cleared up, he had to drive someone to the airport~ and that is always a stressful time on "quiet" days...so yesterday was even worse. Anyway, I have probably said too much and and have bored most of you.  But, that is just a little taste of what our men and women are going through over there.  Can you even FATHOM the daily stress of being there?   I wish you much luck with your interview!!  i am confident that you will kick ass! Thanks Shell! I think it is important for everyone to understand the dangers that are around our men and women at all times over there.  Many people do not  like the idea or agree of our servicemembers being there, but they NEED to know what they are dealing with so they can be thankful for the freedoms that they can experience here in the states. Thanks again for your support!

Good morning!  Janine, Ava is adorable!  I haven't shared a picture of my granddaughter in a while- Here'e Ellie Jane.  We're having so much fun with her!
