Good Morning Everyone! I am sure today brings lots of sunshine your way!

It actually popped the century mark here yesterday. As much as I did not want to do it, I got my butt dressed and went to school. Jeff came and did all the lifting and stuff that would actually kill me. I had to reorganize my room to set up for full blown ceramics for the rest of the school year. UGH.....friend wrote me and said she only had 24 days left. I wish!

I digress....it was 101 and serious....very dry and my central swamp cooler was making my house so cold at one point when I was laying down when I got home that I actually pulled the blanket on me! YIKES!

I still cannot get over my grandson met Paris. I agree with all of you about the skinniness....sickening...she looks more like Nicole Richie now! I guess she was in Target slumming it and literally asked my dil to hold Hunter going on and on at how cute he is. One of my students yesterday (Saturday school detention) was there when it happened and swear she has a pic of Paris and Hunter on her cell phone. I said to my friend Greg,....I ought to sell the pic to the National Enquirer LOL

Anywho....looks as if the LB coffee crowd had yet another great turn out of people and lots of fun. Everyone is looking so wonderful...and Jean OMG you looked awesome in that dress! That picture of you and Monica P was way too cute too! Wish I could have come, but seriously as Diane said....you guys have to make the trek closer to use sometime!

BTW...were are pics from Katt's party on Friday night...were they all so x-rated that we can view on OH? And Katt I hope you had loads of fun and  I am sorry I could not be there!

JenDenni.....how did you walk to for the March of Dimes yesterday? I sure hope you post to tell us all about it. You are winner all the way and I think it is soooooooooooooooooooooooo incrediable that you did this. I am telling you, I do not think I could do it with my back.  My hat is off to you!!!

LuLu..are you feeling better? I know you said that you might not ride your bike to work because you were not feeling well. Whatever you have got going on.....hope you feel better soon!

Speaking of feeling better.....Steve...how is your x-boo boo doing? Too bad you have to go bac to work on Monday and it was great that you had the time off on Friday to help your brother. I do hope that he had gotten some much relief. Did you have a nice birthday otherwise?

Anabelle....that is wonderful your stall broke and good on you for riding out the stall....worth it eh? 5 pounds too...you are really going to add to the WWW this week!!! Just keep up all the hard work!

Chris how was that yard sale thing? Did you find plenty of clothes to take on your cruise? I cannot imagine it being that cold....I would be on the constant mode of shiver! My brother lived in Alaska and worked on the pipeline. I remember him writing one time saying there was a heat wave and it was something like 40 below!!! Definitely a slice of God's country up there! Oh don't you worry either about camping....air mattress for sure! LOL

Vicki...how is the girl? Did you get something for her eye? How did the t-ball game go? Diane and me were thinking that sometime we ought to drive up and meet you...how far are you from us?

Sue it is really good to hear that each day you are feeling better. I hope that when the doctors do your tests that it shows no signs of more stones or whatever. I have never had a bad bout of stones since the original one. I use to get twinges and thing oh you know what and even though it hurt....it was never as bad as that initial one. Knock on wood...it has been a long time since I have had any pass through! Tell Miss Sammi...hi and give her a big hug and smooch for me. I have a couple of things I need to send her, will do this week!

Well I think I have sat here long enough and I am going to go lay back down. Go out and enjoy that sunshine today.....relax, have some fun....act as if there is not a care in the world!

PEACE OUT!!!! Biker Babe

On a footnote for those who might ask...my son's, dil and granddaughter made it home safe from their grandmothers funeral. I did not get much of the details yet....all I know it was very small and as my dil said sweet. All of them are coping, but as we all said Mabel lived a long life...92 and even though she was my x mil....honestly she couldn't have been a sweeter one! Never judged....just a very kind soul. Thanks everyone for the outpour for my son's....I really did appreciate it all!

Good Morning Janine & Everyone, It was so nice and warm here yesterday. Had the house open, nice fresh air, until it got too warm. I cant use my evap yet, it is on the roof and me and ladders dont get along (I tend to fall off them). So my dad has to come over and clean the pads and get the dust out before I can use it, but until then I do have AC if I need it, just too dang expensive.  Yesterday I went with my mom to meet with the surgeon that is going to be doing her Lap Band. After seeing me go though Bypass she knew she didnt want all the vitamins and such, plus she is a light weight and paying cash. The guy has an ego the size of Texas, but that is good. He is making her go through a lot of pre op testing because he wants everything to go perfect and that is fine with me!!! Then we did some running around and went to dinner. It was nice spending the day with her. Today, I am going to spend some time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. No real plans other than that and for that I am thankful, lol.  I am glad you family got home safe and sound and are doing ok!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Drink you water!!! Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!!

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations.
I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty,
believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Morning Janie and everyone - the yard sale was fine - and got a few warm tops (my goal!).  But also had a happy NSV - when I put my bag I wear across my chest it was way to long . . . I had to adjust the strap from being max-d out to a good 18 inches shorter!  OMG it was a silly thing to make me happy!  Obviously I haven't used this bag for awhile - and now I just am a happy puppy with it! Nikki - who is doing you mom's lapband?  You need to bring her to the San Diego lunches - we're probably around the same age - good support for each other.  Dr. Mueller is my surgeon. While it was nice and warm in San Diego - it was friggin' HOT in my house . . . and I have no air.  Not fun with miserable babies - dunk them in a little pool is the only relief for them.  I just went to malls and kept walking :D Have a good one everyone! Good morning Janine and Cali! Today should bring another nice day here at the coast. Let me tell you, it was probably a 15 degree difference fromt the coast to just 5 miles inland yesterday. There was a very mild ocean breeze.  Should be a fairly relaxing day. I have to go up and help my landlord get her new laptop connected to her network and running good. I asked Sammi if she wanted to go for pancakes and she said no. I'm not sure who stole my kid or what the heck is going on, but OK. she may just not be hungry yet. Anyway, Sammi sends her love. Hope everyone enjoys thier day, no matter what you're doing. sue

Good Morning Janine and all the Cali Crew!  Hello  I too see lot's of sunshine today. It was quite warm over here too yesterday... around 96 degrees. Supposed to be the same or a degree or two warmer today.  Hammock  My boo-boo is doing good though I must admit I took a chance yesterday and, against Darrell's warning, worked in the garden with him. Well, after only an hour I was SORE and hurting and had to quit. Even ended up laying down for a bit and popping a vicodin, which I hadn't done since last Monday. Oops.... guess the doc was right Thursday when he said to take it easy and it will be sore and healing for "several" more weeks.... I don't like not being able to do things, especially after losing all the weight!  Pouty  Last evening we went to Mom's for the annual birthday dinner for brother Bob and myself. Had a great time and got 150.00 bucks cash and gift cards for CLOTHES!!!  Woohoo Woohoo Woohoo And now that I can buy clothing off the rack at Target and Pennys and Mervyns and Kohls 150 goes a LOT further than it ever did at the big boys stores!  Thumbs Up  And brother Bob looked and acted SO very much better after his proceedure Friday. Simply amazing! He is convinced now, I hope, to not let his condition get out of control again. He needs to have regular check ups and if he starts feeling bloated get to the doctor right away instead of putting it off. I thought he got that from when he was real sick two years ago and first got the alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver diagnosis but guess not from this recent episode.  Rolling Eyes  Today I am taking it slow and not doing anything strenuous before I return to work tomorrow. I'll jus****ch D work around the house.          Roll  Wishing you and all the Crew a beautiful Sunday Janine!   Big Hug  Hugs And Kisses  Kisses

Morning, I am not saying that it is good yet until I hear from Mike.  Again, stuff happened over where he is during the Afghan Independence day parade and there was an attack on the Afghan president.  Mike was supposed to be IN the parade, but he was able to get out of it.  (THANK GOD) However, I got an email from him that he had to go out and do "something".  So, have no idea what that means.  Just will be on pins and needles until he calls.  Our daughter has allergies, and yesterday morning was the worst that I have ever seen her eyes.  I thought at first that it was pink eye. But, after cleaning them up, and giving her some of her allergy meds, she was fine. Besides, the whites of her eyes were not pink.  Thank goodness for that~ I was not looking forward to all of us catching pink eye! Our little guy's t-ball game was adorable, as usual.  A little too early in the morning it seemed for quite a few families because almost everyone showed up late. 8 am IS a bit early, but not for us around here.  I have roosters that get up right as the sun starts to come up. It would be great if you and Diane could make it up here.  I would think that from where you are, it is about a 5 or so hour drive?  I am not really sure, but I think that is what Marta has said it was when she went to P.S.  So, I wouldnt know if you would want to try to do that all in one day or get a room somewhere up here.  Rita and Christine did that last year at some point and that was cool to have my buddies come to me!    I say you just get a caravan to come up with this way and make it up for one of our get togethers.  I would say before it gets too hot around here, but you are used to the heat! Don't know what I am going to do today.  I really wanted to get out onto the coast, but have NO money to fill up the gas tank with, nor extra $$ for any food or anything~ so, I may just get the kids in their suits, get mine on and wash our cars.  It is supposed to be pretty warm around here today. Well, off to wait for Mike's call and surf around a little bit.  Hope everyone enjoys the day and the sunshine.  Remember to wear sunscreen!!!
