Gettin' scared

It's finally caught up to me, I'm starting to get scared. I have done all my homework, I have a great surgeon, I have a great support system, and I am scared anyway. I have moments where out of nowhere tears stream down my face and I literally shake in my shoes. I have moments of telling myself that this is madness and I should cancel my surgery date. I have moments of being sure that I will be the one in a million who has some off the wall complication and my life will be ruined. It is ridiculous, but that doesn't make it any less true. It's funny what our brains do to us sometimes.

Ohhhh..Cry all you want. That's ok. We've all gone through those moments and they are all normal. I'm sure you'll do great.  Think of it this way, wls is so common now these days that if you have a good surgeon and surgery center, you'll be in great hands.  You've gone through the whole motion of having to jump hoops and go through the insurance's process.   It's all worth it baby! Next thing you know, you'll be jumping out of an airplane like I did!!!

Oh Gus, you cried????  Awwwwwwww!  Listen I don't care what you say, jumping out of a plane is INSANE.  There is nothing that could get me to do that...NOTHING, not even a few mil. Hugs, Diane

DON'T YOU DARE CANCEL YOUR DATE!  What you are feeling is normal.  I wasn't nervous or scared, but excited.  Try to relax.  This is probably the biggest decision that you have ever made in your life.  Sit back, and let your mind tell you of all of the wonderful possibilities that will be before you after you lose your weight.  Hold on to your seat, you are about to go on the ride of your life. Don't worry girl, I am not going to cancel! I have worked way too hard to get here! LOL

Thanks for understanding though, I think I might get dressed, grab a book and a blanket, and head to the park and relax for a while...I need to get out!

OMG!! You are normal?? You are feeling all the same feeling tons of us have. Now what are you going to do?

OK from me, when I started the panic, I would stop, and think of all the reasons why I what the surgery, why I what to LIVE!! That would help me to and deep breathing, and a stiff drink. LOL

Relax and get ready to hold on for the ride of your life.

Love ya

Lu
