Happy TGIF to all my Cali friends here at OH! I wanna say I have slept....I pretended to and here I am sliding it to make it a cheery day for all of you!

I think we can all agree that this week was the pits for sure. I am hoping that weekend brings us a lot of smiles our faces, nice warm temps, and a whole lot of fun. Let's scrap being responsible...okay you can be a little responsible!

I do not usually post jokes, but I cannot pass this one up:

Wal-Mart Greeter doing a good job

A very loud, unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into Wal-Mart with
her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.

The Wal-Mart Greeter said pleasantly, 'Good morning, and welcome to
Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins? '

The woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Hell no they ain't! The
oldest one's 9 and the other one's 7. Why in the world would you think
they're twins? Are you blind, or just stupid? '

'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am', replied the greeter. 'I just
couldn't believe someone would actually sleep with you twice.'

'Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.'

Good one eh?

Well Steve I do hope that everything went okay with your check up today and I for sure hope that you are in less pain. Really a bummer that you have to go back to work today! Take it easy dude!

LuLu...how was the biking this week? I think it is awesome that you are doing this! A little umph in your day girl!

I would imagine Miss Liz is off and running or should I say relaxing in Cabo...she sure deserves some fun!

Jean isn't it the best the wind is gone? OMG it was so nice to come home and go out in the yard. ALthough, my pool is a mess! BTW...love your new board pic..you do keep getting prettier by the day!

Vicki you made me laugh....marathon woma....we all thought there was a whole lot of moaning we heard down here in the southland! Call me whatever about your paper....NeeNee to the rescue!

Monica....no one remember Admin day at our work either....I use to do something for them every year, but this year...no way..the head secretary was the person who got me in trouble because she was covering her own ass...think I want to do something for her? Our AP got on morning news and apologized to them...and of course all of them had beautiful boquets of flowers on their desk today....oh they are so wonderful...you know snitches, liars, lazy, never on time....complainers, never go above and beyond....oh wait a minute they are secure in their jobs...and they are entitled. However, I am sorry you were forgetten....you should get STAR treatment girl!

Jodi good on you getting out and planting your yard. You need that good natural vitamin D girl. And remember like I have always told you....baby steps all the way...you know what I mean! BTW still taking your meds?

JenDenni....hope you have a terrific Friday...it is way hard to go back to work...the worst especially when you only get a mini vacation!

Lynnie....it is really great to see you posting in the mornings again! I hope you keep up with it. We miss you around here. I know how much work you have teaching elementary and with the STATE testing going on and ya da ya....as much as you love the kids and teaching I am sure you are looking forward to the summer off! How is your sister doing btw....I have not heard a word!

Katt you have a lot of partying going down this weekend...tonight in the high desert then tomorow!

Chris up in Benicia (I think that is the town) where have you been? Is everything okay? Your back?

Kim in the desert....I know you have had a busy week, but proud of you that you are keeping up your momentum in the gym..wanna give me some of that?

Sue how are you feeling. I do hope that the pain is better! What an ordeal you have gone through!

Speaking of pain,I do hope Shardon is feeling better....poor baby....I do feel for her!!!

Diane we are going to miss you posting, but I am so happy for you that you landed a job so quickly!!! YOU ROCK girl!!!

Hey what about ChunkyMonkey getting her surgery date? How cool is that? Lot of surgeries coming up for sure....and I know all of us wish all of you soon to be losers the best!

Today is going to be a tough day for my boys as they bury their grandmother. I wish I could be there with them, but thankfully they will have each other. They have to make the long trek up to Ione and then over to Clearlake overnight and then back home Saturday. They feel like they have to be the grown up for their dad as he is not doing too well emotionally and physically he is really in bad shape.

Sorry to end the post on a bummer, I guess I just want you to keep my son's in your prayers. I am proud of how they are mature men even though they are my babies. I just worry and want them safe on the roads too!

So what are your plans for the weekend? I surely plan to enjoy this glorious sunshine, although I do have to go to work tomorrow and sort and organize some things as we are in full swing of ceramics now. I have no help during the day, and with no longer staying after school because I am schulping grandchildren, Jeff has graciously offered his services tomorrow!!! YAY! I might even get a putt in on my hog this weekend!!!! Double YAY!!!

Have a great day everyone and know that you are all cared about!!

PEACE OUT and offically Friday now! Biker Babe

Insomnia ... sleepless nights ... worrying and thinking about what the next day will hold. Even Oprah tells tales of her war against weariness. One old and ancient custom says that to simply kiss your pillow and tell it that you need to go to sleep will bring that exact same slumbering condition right to your bedside. Putting an amethyst under that same pillow will also bring you sweet and satisfying dreams. A really good night!

Good Morning Calif.......

Its just after 3 on my day off and I am up and have coffee brewing. What the heck is going on here. I should be sleeping but after faking it for 2 hours. I got up and started the coffee. I don't know whats up with me not sleeping. I love my sleep. I have to take Grandma MO to LAX this AM then I might come home and take a nap, until my buddy calls and we can meet up for lunch or something.

Kevin is sick with the flu, or something. Poor thing! He called twice last night to see if he could take this or that because he already took this or that.  I told him its the flu, you can take whatever you want, and the flu is going to run its course, no matter what.

Janine......its been my two days off, so I only rode it twice this week to work. But I will ride all 3 days this weekend. I have this friend at work that I give a ride home to, 2 or 3 time in a 2 week period. He walked into my office wednesday asking about a ride. I told him "oh, I rode my bike today" ..he stands there for a few second just looking at me, then says " I am not riding on the handlebars" and walks out. OMG! I darn near fell off my chair laughing. He cought me so much by surprize. To funny!

OK time to jump in the shower or something. Drink more coffee?

Take care one and all

Good Morning Janine and Calif Friends! OMG!!!  Janine you made me laugh!  That cracked me up! Yes, TGIF!  I am so excited for my "March for Babies" Walk tomorrow! We are meeting at the State Capitol at 8:00 am.  I am having my hubby, Dennis drop me and my girlfriend off so we don't have to worry about parking.  He keeps asking me how long it will take because he wants to go golfing!  I have no idea????  One track mind!  lol Work has been a *****allenging lately.  The are cutting the clerical hours 10% and there is this one co-worker who has the least seniority who doesn't think she should have to take the time off.  I have seniority in my office and to be fair we thought we would just have all of us leave one hour early.....but No,... not good enough for her. I am so glad that management backed me up and told her she had to leave because I will play nice but if she is going to be that way in the future  since she is at the bottom she can absorb all of the hours that need to be taken! Oh well..... Oh - other news....  I am going to be a Grandma again!  If not sooner, they will induce labor on Tuesday.  This will be my 5th grandbaby.  His name is Kingsly.  It's one of those things I am happy but I am not.....my daughter's lives are in shambles...  Her other children are being raised by the other Grandparents and the Father (she has 2 boys)so the boys are not even together, but it is what is best for them right now.  I hope things will turn around and change for the better. Janine, I will keep your boys in my thoughts and prayers today.  And I hope you all have a great, great day. Gosh....now I feel like I'm leaving it on a bum note.......   Got a joke anyone???  I need a "Happy thought!" hehehehe  Love, Jeni

Jenni best to you tomorrow!!! WOOHOO! I am so proud of you!

I hear you where you are coming from with the grandchild. Hard, but you have a huge heart and will love them all the same. Keeping all of you in my thougths that things do take a turn around eventually.

Honestly in my son's family (Ava's family) her mother indentical twin sister has abandoned her two children who are sweet kids because she thought that she could...get this....keep a man! On Alena's birthday in March...real tear jerker....mother never showed and Cole her oldest who is going to be 4 in November asked Sandy if she was his mommy. Gosh that still brings tears to my eyes!

Such is life eh?

Have a great time tomorrow!!! I know you can do it..and even if you hurt, you know you are hurting for a good cause!

 Kisses

Good morning Janine and all Well today I have an appt with Dr Ali for a follow up then not much else after that....will probably comehome and take a nap because I, too, did not have a good nights sleep.  I was awake at 1:45 finally went back to sleep about 3 then was back awake at 4:30...so I definitely see a nap on the horizon. This weekend is LB coffee tomorrow which is ALWAYS a blast then on Sunday probably nothing. Well my coffee is done and I need a cup badly. Everyone have a great TGIF Hugs to all

Good Morning Jnine and Cali, After a week I think my body is actually used to this schedule and I woke up without the alarm.  But on the other hand I think the lack of sleep is also catching up with me.  I walked into my neighbors class yesterday instead of mine and at the end of the day I locked myself out. Morning! Seems like sleeping troubles abound so far this morning.  I, too, didnt sleep very well and finally just got out of bed at 530.  I am hoping my kids will let me nap later, but I never hold my breath on that one.... Oh, Janine- I FINALLY got my grade back on my art collage. He gave me a 46 out of 50.  The thing that sucks is that they don't give you any kind of feedback.  But, that is cool, I will take that grade.  Not too bad and I thank you again.  Now, on to that damn report.  pfffffffffft.  I have had absolutely no motivation to do any work whatsoever.   A good note, Mike made it back to his base all safe and sound after many many many MANY hours of flight.  Now the real fun of worrying starts all over again.  Don't have too much planned for this weekend.  My little guy has a 8am T-ball game tomorrow (dammit....no sleeping in tomorrow) and I kind of wanted to go out to the coast- but, I just can't swing it financially right now.  Damn gas prices. Ummm....oh.  Went to my orthosurgeon appt yesterday all prepared to get put onto traction and they couldnt do it because there was some snaffu with my insurance company.  So, a complete waste of time and gas. Okay, gotta get the kiddos up.  Have a great day everyone! hugs to all, Vicki

Hi ho, hi ho, it's Friday morning fo sho! Happy  T.G.I.F. to each and every one of you! My very brief, like 45 second, visit with the surgeon gave me a positive update and the OK to return to work... on Monday. So I am taking today off too.   Woohoo  That's the upside... the downside is I have used all my vaca and personal time in the bank and this will be a day w/o pay. No biggie I guess. The bill collectors will just have to deal with it.  Rolling Eyes  Actually having the day off worked out in a strange way. My brother Bob, the one with the liver disease, had an appointment with a gastro doc yesterday afternoon in the same building at 3:30 and since I got out from my appointment at 3 I hung out there and waited for Bob to accompany him for his appointment. Which was great. I asked some questions of my own and we got a lot of information and reassurance. The doc scheduled Bob for a procedure this morning to remove fluid from his belly with a syringe to relive the pressure and, hopefully, give him some relief from his discomfort. I feel bad for Bob cause he has been very compliant with the protocol his doctors have given him for two years and his condition got suddenly worse the last month or six weeks. I am praying this procedure will help him feel better quickly.  Oh, so I was saying.... he is coming here and I will take him to the hospital this morning for his procedure. That's how God works to make things fall in place sometimes huh? My doc says take today off and two hours later Bob gets scheduled for the morning.  Smile  Anyway, we have to check in at 8:30 and he is due here in about 15 minutes now so I should get a move on! Wishing everyone a grand Friday and slap a big TGIF smile on that face of yours!  Big Hug  Hugs And Kisses Kisses
