Good Thursday Morning Cali

Good Thursday Morning Cali and a wind free morning so far here! Well maybe not wind free, but surely not gale forces like it has been!

I am not sure if Jill is posting this morning because she did email me and say she might not....so Jill if you read this I hope all is okay!

Today for me brings our first day of state testing...oh boy...all those weeks upon weeks of teaching to the "test" is coming to a head. Can you hear the sarcasm?  That is all I hear about in the meetings....test smarts this and test smarts that....plus all the kids know that once the testing window is over with....they think school is done with too. Another reason I am glad I got out of teaching core Language Arts.

Speaking of which...I am super excited because I got an email from La Quinta High (one of the schools I put into for a transfer) that I have an interview with the principal and "her panel next Thursday for an interview. I am like WOW WOW WOW because this is probably the top notch high school in the district. It is a California Distinguished School not to mention that it is also an International Baclarette School! Keep you fingers and toes crossed for me as it is not easy to get an art position....most people have had their positions like forever and do not give them up! Plus in high school kids want to be in art....not just take it because it is the only elective they can get! YAY!!! I am going to do my best in this interview, but I am not going to hold my breath either!

So anywhoooooooooooo what a great WWW we had this week. If my calculations are correct and I know Steve will correct me is that there was a whopping 70.4 pound lost this week. The only one I am concerned about is that Steve.....you are going to disappear!!! I know it is because of surgery you have lost, but please dude....don't lose anymore, infact would you gain those  back? I hope you are feeling and moving better too Steve!

And for all those people who either stayed the same in weight...that is great even if you do not think so....look at it this way...you are not gaining. Also those who are maintaining....that is soooooooooooooooooo awesome!

Now how exciting is it that our Miss Diane C is going to be going to work this next week? I could not be prouder of you Diane...you are such a go getter!! You are going to be a great, valuable addition to your orthopods office!!!

And what about Kristin being a "Century Club" member now? I think you ROCK Kristin!

Let's hear it for April too...going in for treatment two for her iron levels so she can have some extra reserves with her upcoming surgery!

The baby stork is going to be flying in around here at OH with the impeding birth of a new child for Kristy T also!!! If you all don't know it...Kristy makes some beautiful babies and you need to check out her profile and get a load of Alice!!!

Jean sorry about sending wind your way..but not my fault if anything it was YOUR fault! LOL It was an off shore wind for us and dropped our temps....oh my it was only 90 at my work yesterday! If I have not said to you this week due to power outages....I am so happy for you that you are getting all the "wow" moments that you so deserve.

This week also brought and finally a surgery date for our Katt and I am very happy for you Katt....now with al the partying you are doing...girl you had better not gain any of that weight lost! I will kick your booty!

Sue...sure hope that you are feeling a lot better today.You have really gone through quite an ordeal over that stone and I surely pray that this NEVER happens to you again!

Jodi...I am glad to read that you are feeling better and I do hope you get out and get some fresh air like you said. Hopefully the meds are going to make you feel like a million bucks cuz you are a million dollar gal!

I know why Vicki lost 5 pounds this week...I know why Vicki lost 5 pounds this week....giggle.....and no it was not because she cried buckets of tears....maybe of joy for that great time she spent with Mike...but for other reasons.....YOU HANG IN THERE GIRL, we all love ya and are here for you!

This week brought Miss LuLu riding her bike to work and all the craziness too at her work...you hang in there LuLu and I think it is great that you are doing this....3 miles is a lot to begin with as far as I am concerned and just wait until you see your legs after a while!

It was really great to read that Liz's daughter biopsy was as good as it was. I know Liz she deserves her trip to Cabo....whaaaaaaaa I wish I could have been a stow away along with a lot of you also wished!

JenDenni...hang in there girl about the work thing.....I will keep on praying that your job is safe. I am glad you had a blast on your trip. I know you were apprehensive in light of what happened before...but hey all went well! Plus you had a GREAT time!

A big congrats goes out to DeAnna for landing a job in Monterey! I know you are going to be missed by the Central Valley peeps, but hey now they have an excuse to go and visit eh?

Hey Chris....I sure hope that soon you get to destress too. I know it has been hard on you having your family living with you. I do not know if I could do it even though I love all of them to pieces! You're a good person and mom!

Monica W....wow I am so glad you are enjoying going back to work. I imagine it is a nice change of pace for you especially with all you went through in the last few months with trying to find a house, all the screw ups that went along with it,moving and of course not a stress, but the birth of that beautiful daughter of yours! I hope things continue to be great for you at work!

Kim that is awesome too that you got in there and ran girl!!! WOOHOO!!!

One more thing before I sign off...thank you for all the well wishes for my boys. I really do appreciate it. They are leaving out of here tomorrow morning about 4 to gt to Ione for their grandmothers funeral and then over to Clearlake for the night and back home Saturday. Lot of driving...I don't envy them.

So everyone have a great day and like I always say...brain dust in the middle of the night and if I did not mention you, it is not because I do not care....I care a lot, just can't remember EVERYTHING!!!

Morning Janine & Everyone, I will keep everything crossed for you with the new job!!! I know how you feel about where you are now!! Tomorrow I have to be at work an hour earlier, all the prisons in the state are doing TB test on all prisoners. Oh what a fun day. Just shot after shot after shot. Can today be Friday please? Atleast today should be an easier day at work, I just wish they would get another LVN so I wasnt doing 2 jobs or start paying me for both, lol ya right!! Oh well enough whinning! Morning! You made me giggle....I would like to say it was from Marathon sex, (okay, maybe parts lol) but just not snacking and eating away the sadness.  The same thing happened the last time he left.  I stopped all snacking and dropped down to my lowest.  Then, I just got too comfortable and making ****ty choices and gained weight.  I am hoping that I can keep this up so that I dont have to go out and buy a bunch of new stuff for summer! (even though I NEED to because wearing things 3 summers in a row is getting old!)   Anyway- good luck with your interview!!  And I will probably be getting in contact with you in the next couple of days/weeks for some insight on my art research paper.  blech..... Have a great day California!  I am off to the orthosurgeon for some traction. I have a bad feeling that this afternoon, I am going to be VERY sore.   Take care all!

Good morning, good morning, good morning!    Gosh, what a great recap and shout out this morning J!    For WWW I have added it up and come to a new record for the year of -60.4 pounds, thanks in no small part to the 19lbs lost by Jen W (who, accidently I know, posted that figure twice).    Awesome week Cali Loser's!!!  Keep up the great work! So today I go for my follow up with my surgeon this afternoon then, ugh, back to work tomorrow. I finally got out of the house yesterday with a quick trip to the grocery and a visit with my Mom. It really felt good to leave the house after a week here. I can really feel the improvement since the weekend. Haven't used any Vicodin since first thing Monday morning and am just a bit sore at this point. We'll see what the Dr. has to say but I am sure I can get back to work tomorrow. Wishing you all a Terrific Thursday!
