a question for those who had surgery at Cedar Sinai
I live about two hours form Cedar Sinai and my husband wants to stay up there and with gas prices we would have a hard time affording him driving back and forth. We were told that if you live far away and you have one person who wants to stay with you they will bring a cot in???? has this happened for anyone?????
Hey Diana, yes they do allow 1 person to stay in the room with you. There is already a cot type bed in your room when they bring you there out of recovery. We actually got to have the kids with us too, cause the nuse that night on duty felt sorry for Jeff that he was gonna have to drive so far to get hme that they told us if we kept brandi(6yr old) really quiet that they would let them stay. So all 5 of us spent the last night at the hospital together. Besides the cot thingy there was a couch and a recliner in my room so we had lots of room.
Lots of hugs and good wishes to you on Friday. Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you before or even after surgery.
Love ya,
Lisa
I've delivered lots of babies at Sinai and had plenty of surgeries there -- I can tell you absolutely that they really do provide a VERY comfortable cot and a VERY comfy couch and that your husband should have no problem staying the night. Also the rooms are very nice and hotel-like.
How exciting for you ... surgery only a few days away!
