Looking for support group/activities in Central Valley

What is going on in the Central Valley???  I relocated to the Central Valley about 7 months ago and was re-banded (due to a slip) on Saturday and I want to be around other loser:-)

Hello Cheri, I have only met him twice (once when I went in for the consult on my slipped band and again onthe day of my surgery).  Each meeting with him was very good and I think that I will be very pleased with him as a doctor.  i know that he has informational meetings but do they support ongoing support group meetings that you know of?

Hello Joyce, I had my RNY done by Dr Boone, Dr Higa's partner, and my wife Annette is scheduled for an RNY on May 8th.  The Higa/Boone group hosts a support group that generally meets on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next meeting is on 5/6 @ 6:30pm at the Higa/Boone office. We have hosted several gatherings at our home for our WLS friends, and we look forward to meeting you, too.  Annette's handle on here is bops_bug.  Welcome to the Valley!!! Brian

Hello Brian, Thanks for the informationand welcome to the Central valley. I go in for my post op visit on Monday and I will ask about the monthly meetings.  I will try very hard to attend so that I can meet other likeminded people in the area:-)  All the best to you on your journey and your wife as she begins her jouney.
