I GOT THE JOB! I'M MOVING TO MONTEREY!! YAY!!!

Thank you!  My title will be "Volunteer Coordinator" at Hospice.  Mainly I will be in charge of the transportation program, in which volunteers take patients to their appointments.  But I will also work in the hospital library and do other administrative tasks.  The boss is WONDERFUL, and she says the rest of the coworkers are, too.  I can't wait!  Thanks for asking!

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH GIRL! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY TO HEAR THIS. I JUST KNEW SINCE THEY WERE DOING THE BACKGROUND YOU WERE THE GIRL FOR THE JOB! I CANNOT WAIT DAMN IT. DID THEY START YOU OFF RIGHT? GET READY TO HAVE SOME FUN!!! I WILL TOTALLY HELP YOU MOVE IF YOU NEED HELP. I GO TO VEGAS THE FIRST WEEKEND IN MAY BUT BEFORE OR AFTER THAT I AM DOWN TO HELP U IN ANYWAY U NEED.  LET ME KNOW WHEN U GO TO ORIENTATION AND YES, THE DAYS YOU ARE HERE AT CHOMP WE WILL HAVE LUNCH. YOU CAN BE MY LUNCH DATE. YAAAAAAY

I am SOOO excited!  Hey, the woman who does the background check called me today and says she has a question about my application.  You don't think there's a problem, do you?  I keep telling myself there's no way there could be a problem.  My resume and app. are completely accurate, I have no criminal history, and I don't do drugs!  I'm sure everything's fine, but I can't wait until tomorrow morning when I can call her back!  I would be mortified to tell everyone at work that the job fell through!  Well my estimated move date is May 10!  I've already reserved a U-Haul!  I don't even have an apartment yet!  But unless there's some major problem with Monterey Pines Apartments, I will probably put a deposit on an apartment there on Friday.  It's close to the hospital, it's reasonable, they accept dogs, and it's big.  And most importantly, they have immediate openings!   I don't think I will need help moving, I think I've got it covered with my family and friends here.  But it would be cool if you could stop by, maybe even go to dinner with us!  I think it would put my sister at ease to know that yes, I really do have a friend in Monterey!   Okay, I am going to go and continue doing my happy dance!

You can tell your sister you have 2 friends in monterey--!!!! So far!!! and  the number will grow quickly once you are here! Lori

DeAnna!!!!! I am beyond excited for you.  What an adventure Girl!  I am so proud of you for really going after your dreams. You know you'll still have all of us 'Valley Girls' as your peeps.  We'll now have a reason to head to the coast. (hmmm. like we need one?)  I know of one trip I have planned down there already.  In Sept. my hubby has a golf tournament and I was going to tag along and spend the day shopping at the Gilroy outlets!  Just think by Sept. we will be in dire need of new (much smaller) clothes.  You'll have to pop over and shop with me!   I am so stinkin excited for you.  Way to go DeAnna!!!!!!  big happy hugs, Lisa

Gilroy in September is a date!  You are right, we will need some cool, SMALLER clothes!  How awesome!  And you know that anytime you want to come and spend the night in Monterey, don't even think about a hotel, just plan to stay with me! 

Congratulations, DeAnna!  That sounds so awesome!  Monterey is gorgeous!  Sometimes a few friends and I go down to visit the quilt shops around there!  It's great to hear you found a place that will take a dog, too.  I don't know what I'd do without mine!  Well, I'll be having my surgery on your first day of work, so it will be a red-letter day for both of us! Well YAYAY!!!!   Exciting to hear about your new changes!! Hope you love this area!   BTW I work at a Lodge in Carmel Valley-- we do allow pets------ if you need to get here early---and haven't found a place to live.....maybe that will work for you?   And maybe you will be here in time for the chomp support group! That's good to know about the lodge!  I'm hoping I have a place to live by then, but if I don't, I just might have to stay there!  When is the next CHOMP support group?  If it's after the 12th, I'll be there!  Looking forward to meeting you!  Hey, you've got to add a pic to your profile so I know who to look for!

Oooh man--- You know--- I get online here at work--- when it's quiet---so I can't download a pic yet----  that is also why I don't  "talk" too much here---- I do check the cali boards on all my work days tho'---the support group is may 8th---- so if not this one---next time!
