You might want to find out from Steve Jacobson who posts all the support group meetings once a month on here.  I don't seem to remember any out where you are, but maybe Steve knows of one that I don't Good luck.

Gee, Rosa, I think you've kind of stumped me with this one. Probably the closest would be one in El Centro but that's a far drive for you... SAN DIEGO/IMPERIAL VALLEY/OCEANSIDE SHARP MEMORIAL BARIATRIC PROGRAM SUPPORT GROUPS: IMPERIAL VALLEY , 2nd Tuesday of every other month. May, July, September and November 2008 Holiday Inn Express-El Centro: 6:00pm. Contact Thomas Hayes at 858-939-3010 for more information. Perhaps if you asked the question on the Arizona board someone might know of a group over the border that would be closer? http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/AZ/a,messageboard/board_id ,4805/

Heck there is about 10 of us in my area just trying to find one we don't have to drive an hour to. I thought the San Fran valley wouldn't be so hard.

Your surgeon should have some idea of the closest support groups. Some surgeons, like mine, put on one or more support groups each month. My surgeon puts on groups in Corona, Redlands, Hesperia, and Murietta.  All are a ways from you. Best option would be to ask your surgeon's office.
