I had my surgery 2 weeks ago Monday, am i sick of liquids you bet!  My Dr's group plan is 3 weeks on liquids, 3 weeks on pureed foods, then regular food. Is this easy? no! BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE A SUCCESS and not hurt yourself. You will be best to follow the orders of your DR no matter how hard it is. Good luck Brenda

Protocols vary a litte between surgeons. My surgeon only had me on one week or liquids, but I know other surgeons that require 2. Some surgeons want a liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery, mine just said to try to lose a little weight. Some surgeon place you on a pureed diet after liquids. I went from liquids to soft foods with no pureed stage. So it varies between surgeons. Follow your surgeon's guidelines so he can assist you with any issues.

five days out and wanting to "cheat" already?? something to think about, Rosa!!

Your doctor knows what he is doing by giving you an eating plan... follow it to a "T" and you'll have every chance of ending up a WLS super star!!

best wishes...

LOL, No i dont want to cheat nor I plan to cheat! I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to be on liquids for the whole to weeks. I do plan on following docs orders. I don't wanna have to get sick and end up back in the hospital.
