I think part of it is also that I am more like you, I do not see the big deal about 30 (apparently she does! LOL)? Although, to be fair, I tend to think that every birthday should be special, not just the ones that end in 0! LOL

Anyhow, I am going to call her tonight and I am sure it will all work itself out.

I'm sorry Shells.  Ditto to what everyone else said.  She just doesn't realize how important this is, and how hard it is to get a surgery date.  On the other hand, sounds like she values your friendship a lot, and just wants you there.  She is lucky to have you for a friend!
